I love Skyscanner, Air Asia, Hostelworld, and Trail Wallet for travel as well! I totally agree that uber is amazing for travel! ☺

Cool! Airbnb is a must have for travellers. Lindsay do try tripadvisor and lonely planet :)
@lindsaymccormick96078 жыл бұрын
Agreed! I love Lonely Planet (I use their books all the time) not the biggest fan of their online but I think I love their books so much nothing can compare to that. ;) I do like Tripadvisor (and Yelp) but I don't use them too much as I feel like I'll end up going where everyone else goes. 5,000 5 Star reviews can't be wrong but I'd rather find the hidden local spots. They are super helpful in a pinch though, I've found some great spots that way :) Thanks for watching and for the tips, Gerry!

Hey Lindsay! I just booked a one way ticket to Thailand in May, I am a female going solo :) Im not sure how long I will be down there as I plan to see as much as South East Asia as possible. I only have my hostel booked for when I first land but plan on winging it as I go. Do you think accommodations should be made before hand or just arriving and looking for a hostel would be ok? How are hostel dorms? I also plan to island hop, is it hard to go from different islands back to the main land?

The # 1 App Should be "Mobile Passport App" It will be a Breeze Through Customs if you have it, reducing the long lines time wait from 30 Mins. to 5 Mins.

Lindsay Mc there were similar service and it's great if you're in a city where it's hard to get taxi within 5-10 minutes
@infiniteflame17807 жыл бұрын
For me, I would also add hangouts to your list since you can call anyone in the world for free over wifi!
@lindsaymccormick96077 жыл бұрын
Google Hangouts? I use Skype for that but is Hangouts better? Thanks for watching and for the tip!
@infiniteflame17807 жыл бұрын
Lindsay Mc umm, Skype charges money for calls though. So I think google hangouts may be a bit nicer, mostly because you can also add a new number into it.

@lindsaymccormick96077 жыл бұрын
I land in a city and go to the most popular backpacker area and walk around and price compare. Once I find the cheapest or the best value (maybe not the cheapest but still inexpensive and a good deal for what you get) I stay there :)

@lindsaymccormick96077 жыл бұрын
Clinton Grubb ah, it was an auto rickshaw (they are way more common than cycle or pedi rickshaws) so it's the same amount of effort as a car. And actually, if it would have been a pedi or cycle rickshaws, those are cheaper than auto rickshaws as there is no petrol to factor in. Doesn't seem fair but it's the way pricing is over there. Have you spent much time in India?
