So often videos like this are generic or promote fear. Thank you for not doing that. I'm a long time solo female traveler myself and these tips are really legit. Very nicely done. I will mention a flip side to your 'dress to blend in' tip. I travel a lot in places where there's no chance of me 'blending in' (Southeast Asia and Africa). That's when standing out and being a little extra friendly can help. A lot of people in an area that know you're there don't want anything bad to happen to you because they don't want a stain on their reputation (and they're just good people). Sometimes, sticking out has people looking out for you, especially if you've been nice to them. Just something to consider when blending in isn't an option.

It's my true story four years ago when I've been to Vietnam for summer vacation with my family, I was one of the victims bitten by monkey: I was so tired after woke from drunken breakfast (blue drink that made me completely drunk, but drank like coke) and kept listening to music all along while heading to harbor and boat to monkey island. Eventually, I got some berries from the tourist and still felt tired and my eyes were half closed while walking and suddenly some biting pressure felt from my back and made me jump like surprised kitten... it was that monkeys which stole the berries and ran away. I was very devastated and felt losing some hope for moment. (I tried to squeeze my left pinky that monkey bite, but neither red nor bite mark have been seen far from red. It was somewhat just lucky I was. During the tour, it could be hard to go to the hospital or they may not have the first aid kit box)

My fear in traveling solo 1. Run out of money in a country 2. Might be killer, raped, or kidnapped 3. Ghost in a hotel. Lol

one thing to take from this is the dangers of a frenzied mob ... this is a real thing in many underdeveloped countries and Linsday and her friends dont actually realise how close they came to confronting one. What happens is one or two locals start to beef with you for absolutely no reason. Doesnt matter if they are in the wrong you need to deescalate and walk away from the situation ASAP. In this example are the boys groping Linsay, if they acted badly in any way like the white guys pushed them off hard or even punched them YOU WOULD IMMEDIATELY BE ATTACKED BY A MOB, this is because the locals defend themselves and you are a foreigner. In a situation like that THINGS COULD HAVE GOTTEN REALLY BAD.

I don't understand why white people who visit India always act so cheap and choose the most notorious options that they can, even when they have the money to choose posh options which in India means "safer" options. When people say that India is unsafe for women, donot take that as a challenge to prove them wrong, remember theres always some truth in stereotypes. Donot visit India and other South Asian countries with the same perception and pov that y'all have in the west, not everything is "one love" lol. Donot be naive and just go with everything that happening around you, make mental calculations; some places and things just aren't meant for you, so don't force yourself into them, you will be treated differently. I have the same feeder. No need to waste electricity on heating water and then refrigerating to cool it again (warms up your fridge). Just dilute the sugar in room temp water and stir for 30 seconds. The sugar water warms up in the sun anyways.
