It's not heartbreaking, we all should be celebrating her not being sad that she is gone. She lived a long life that only a few people could say they led. Betty was successful in her personal life as well as her professional life and was physically in great shape when she passed, not many people can say they are that at 99. Don't be sad that she is gone, be happy that her life in TV and Film will live on and her charity work saved so many animals. For a person who spent her life making so many of us laugh, she would be sad to see so many sad over her passing.

We can rejoice in her life, the wonderful, full life she had, but we can also be sad that she is gone from this earth. Neither emotion is wrong and both are appropriate for the situation. Let's honor her by donating to your local animal rescue on her birthday. We can keep her love and compassion alive as we mourn. God bless all of you reading this!

The life we seek will come in the next life, and it’s eternal. Paradise is where we truly live and never die. But even the world we live in now was made beautiful in many ways despite it being a test, that some people really believe this is the only place we will ever live, but this is just a test. It's a theatrical release, so I don't know when or where it will be viewable from the comfort of our own homes...possibly on network TV. The channels are probably fighting over who gets to air it as it will be watched by millions. Or maybe it was negotiated months ago. I had a "relative" named H.D. Gaeta, who helped parent my dads mom after he returned (abandoned his family) to Italy in the early 1900's. My grandmas "uncle" H.D. was poor as dirt. He collected trash in Oakland, CA, like many Italian immigrants, some on bicycles, to make a few pennies off scrap metal. That, BTW, was how the once industrious & successful Oakland Scavenger trash company started. H.D. started giving rides in an old "jitney" open air vehicle for a nickel up and down East 14th Street which runs through parts of the Easy Bay area cities of Oakland, San Leandro, Castro Valley, Hayward, etc. Blacks and other minorities had to ride in the backs of busses back then. But, for a nickel anyone could ride in front or back of H.D.'s old Jitney. He eventually started Peerless Stages bus lines. By the time he had retired he was more than a millionaire, and a Chairman of the Board with Greyhound. But, his one goal became to reach 100 years old. He got close, and became ill in his late 90's. He was very unhappy when it became obvious he was going to fall a few years short of 100. Unfortunately, his heirs took his company and destroyed it. They were not of the same character as H.D. But, my Grandmother Mayme always impressed on us the value of a penny, and demonstrated incredible generosity, thankfulness, and kindness that she learned as a person who saw first-hand someone go from collecting trash to being "rich." But, not just rich in stuff, or money. Betty White lived more in one year than many people live in one life. She was kind, generous and thankful. BTW, my grandma did not get any financial gain from H.D. Just an "uncle" who helped her and her family and especially role modeled character traits of hard work, balanced with thankfulness, kindness and generosity. She lived very simply. Betty White reminds me of my grandma, Mayme, who was far from perfect, BTW. But, when grandma died, it was like the center axle in the hub of the wheel that once held our family together fell out and was forever missing. We all went our separate ways. She was the reason family get-togethers were pleasant to the degree they were. Wishing everyone a more kind, generous and thankful 2022. RIP John Madden, who used to come by our high school and watch our football teams practice. RIP Betty White. Both made the world better. Condolences to those families.

Beautiful woman, rest in peace.❤ I read a Twitter tweet, she died a centennial because she lived countless leap years and other factors.
