it's super important, if you wanna wear your curls for a longer time, how you wash them and how you used your products on your washday. one time I did literally the perfect washroutine, had like the perfect amount of all my products and day one turned out so badly and I was really sad cause there was an event on the next day. but on the next day when I opened them in the morning they were surprisingly beautiful. I sprayed some water onto my hair and then I used Cantu twist and lock gel. that lasted me for 11 days without washing (just wore them open, no protective style or smth)

ARMY is EVERYWHERE I feel your pain lol. I usually spray water and put smaller amounts of my conditioner and styler 👍🏾
@carolynkettle16907 жыл бұрын
ARMY is EVERYWHERE you might not be putting enough water on it.....I have been natural for a just over a year now. I tried the light spritz to reactivate....ya reactivate the frizz was what it did. Now because I'm still in my PJ phase I find sometimes my hair is dry because of the product I used or maybe I didn't put enough in to begin with. If I find it's dry before refreshing I wet my hair down with my spray bottle so it is not soaked but is wet enough to not see frizz, I add some leave in or hair milk and then go over it with some more gel if I used a lite gel (CJ or UFD) initially or if I used a thicker gel (Eco styler) then I will use a mousse (deva curl or SM). This seems to work well. Hope this makes sense....good luck!
@junej85587 жыл бұрын
ARMY is EVERYWHERE It doesn't work for everyone! My hair texture is the type where, if you wet it, you must re-style. I've been natural for 4 years now, and I had to learn the hard way that I cannot refresh this way. For me, I have to just make sure that my gel has a good enough hold that my hair lasts without refreshing, and I simply make sure I take care of it properly at night. I might 'refresh' a few frizzy pieces, but I can't do this for my whole head or it frizzes up, even with product and it only works if my hair is soaked - which is essentially just repeating wash day, like she said.

Being raised by my mother, who has always tried her absolute hardest to help me maintain natural curls dispite being blonde with straight hair, has made it a little complicated for me to understand things like "you don't need to wash your hair for it to look good." I knew it wasn't dirty, but it was so hard to think "I can fix this." I usually give up and put it up or back. Melanie Delarosa mine is to short for a pineapple so I wear a bonnet at night. TIP: I get the black satin bonnet from any hair store but I stretch mine first. I find that if I don't stretch a new bonnet my curls will be way to compact in the morning. Just put both hands in and pull away from each other. When it's applied just make sure it does not feel like the tightness of a shower cap. Spritz with water, shake and I'm set.

Hi Bianca, I have been watching your and India's channel. I have been experimenting with trying to go without heat styling my hair, because I have naturally wavy/curly (2B or 2C) hair that becomes frizzy and unruly if I let it air dry. I read that Castor oil is real good for hair, so this morning I used a very small amount of Shea Moisture Manuka Honey Mafura oil intensive hydration conditioner (dime size amount that India likes a lot :-)) and added 2 to 3 drops of Castor Oil and rubbed it in the palm of my hands and my hair turned out amazing this morning! I really don't like crunchy hard stiff hair which controls my frizz but leaves my hair hard & stiff, so I tried this and I think at least while it is still warm I am going to style my hair this way every day. My hair is wavy, bouncy and frizz free hair that is not stiff and crunchy. When it starts getting cold outside I will probably need to blow dry my hair or use at least use a diffuser because my hair typically take 6 to 8 hours to dry but until it gets cold outside I think I am going to style my hair the same I did this morning, it looks healthy and full of life today. It usually only looks healthy when I blow dry or blow dry and flat iron my hair.

Thank you! I'm new to wearing my curly hair. I usually blow dry every morning bc I don't know how to use product and my hair is thin, like 3c. Your videos are really helpful!💜

Love you Bianca! Right on most weeks I make it last 7 days but I’ve done 11 days before because I was traveling and I used curls Gelle and this honey max hold gel from Shea moisture on day 5 and I was shook so surprised it worked because I was in Florida and it protected my hair from the humidity it did not kill my curls at all. Literally on of the best hair weeks I’ve had. 💗💪🏽💗💗💗💗💗

I can refresh and let my hair down probably until day 3-4; after that if I really don't have time to wash it I would go for a ponytail or a bun. Love the video btw 💖
