It only exists because of the 1947 UN resolution which partitioned Palestine into separate Jewish and Arab states. The nation of Israel is a geopolitical invention which allowed Jewish settlers to establish a homeland on Palestinian Arab territory. And ever since then, Israelis have been forcing native Palestinians off their lands and subjugating them to an opressive apartheid regime. Israel's "right to exist" has caused the bloodshed and suffering of Palestinians, who apparently don't have the same right to exist as their Israeli overlords.

The point should be that no country has the right to exist 'no matter what they do.' Also, many countries did not exist, then did, then did not, and borders have changed. Did Yugoslavia have a right to exist? Well, for a time, but then it broke up. People have a right to exist. Countries are political and do not have an unwavering right to exist unless they following International Human Rights Law.

When my father and everyone else I knew's father had just returned from the second world war I remember hearing about the American bomber pilots who had flown daylight missions from Britain to Germany and had refused to attack civilian targets.
