Caught a drum once everyone says they're trash fish , I convinced my dad to keep and and try to cook it up! Surprisingly it was as good or better than crappie, now if I ever catch them I'll keep them

Good job you two one bringing that guy in. Just when you think you won't need a net you get a big one.

Wow! That was a biggun! Great job. I love that you spend your time with the local elders. Shows respect, keeps them active and it’s just plain smart!! They have so much knowledge, what a blessing! I would give anything to sneak down and spend a morning learning to fish like y’all do. Maybe someday. I’m a bit south of Dayton so it wouldn’t be impossible! LOL TFS God Bless you and the family and I hope you’re all well. ~Lisa

I had the same thing happen while walleye fishing. Ended up being a 44 lb flathead. Its honestly a surprise it doesn't happen more often.

Wow that's big one! I wish I knew how to fish. 😖 In fact, the reason why I watch your videos. At least I can watch someone else fish and enjoy the scenery too. Thanks for sharing and God bless you in all that you do. Peace!

I think the record for a catfish was caught by a ten year old girl in Georgia using a barbie fishing pole.... The fish often decide if one "knows how to" fish :) one things for sure, you won't catch nothing with out a pole in the water :) Hope you give it a try sometime :) Good luck & God bless.

IndiAcres 1776 Yes, I've given it a try. My brother tried teaching me how to fish once. All I caught was a tree branch, my brother's hat, and my leg. Lol 😂 yes, the hook was in my leg. Ouch! When the line finally went into the water, no fish. It just took the bait and ran. Lol 😂 Question: where exactly is that ten year old again? Maybe I can ask her to teach me how to fish. Lol 😂

@jbolin1056 жыл бұрын
You never know what your going to catch up there. I was up there sauger fishing several years ago. There was a guy fishing next me, he was fishing right on that current seam and he caught a big pink dildo. It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Hilarious

Okay to me fish is fish unless it is out of season, so I don't understand why you turned the cat you caught back in? Why don't you have a net?
@CurseDirty6066 жыл бұрын
SMH people like you keeping big cats is why they are very few.
@bigunone6 жыл бұрын
Hell the only catfish I have ever caught was about 8 inches long! Not many very big fish in the high mountain ponds I prefer to go to, also not a lot of people which suites me well also. I am just trying to find out why if you say your are catching one breed of fish and you catch another why throw it back?
@Jml13136 жыл бұрын
Amen, Justin... A lot of folks don't understand how bad the waters are becoming for catfish... The Ohio river and the tributaries are getting drained with all the commercial fishing...
@pureblood31276 жыл бұрын
Justin Burton you probably never even fished a big river

Why didn't you keep the blue cat. It was a nice one
@-nathan21-186 жыл бұрын
Jeffery Jeffers Wv because you don't eat big fish dumbass they done been exposed to so much pollution in the water I can't stand people like you why we can't keep big fish in the rivers now cause people pull them out let them grow should not eat a fish over 20 pounds
@jefferyjefferswv89736 жыл бұрын
I didn't know about why they didn't keep the fish. I don't know about the Ohio river. I just do alittle fish with the grand kids around farm ponds. So you really don't need to be calling me names. I'm sure John wouldn't like it either.
@-nathan21-186 жыл бұрын
Jeffery Jeffers Wv you don't eat big fish there is your answer and that fish he just got will make many more fish to catch get how it work?
@jefferyjefferswv89736 жыл бұрын
I got it . I'm really not a big fisherman but just like to know things like that. I want to fish more this summer. I really enjoy it
@-nathan21-186 жыл бұрын
Jeffery Jeffers Wv it is fun but here in Alabama in my home water is fished there was a 101 pound fish caught and put back but people here keep every 25-70 fish they catch and with all the cap in our waters here it's just nasty to eat..... fish the sippi river get times this year hopefully lot more giants out there also the Tennessee river has them but it's heavy fish can't do it from the bank
@deanmacka49756 жыл бұрын
G-Day mate, great vid and a great catch but why don't you guys eat the big ones are they no good or is it because of breeding?
@jamesbarnard9286 жыл бұрын
