I miss this band a lot. They were tight, well-rehearsed, and best of all they had their own unique sound even among the '80's British new wave bands.

"Inwards", which Bruce gives a wee nod too, at the end of a In A Big Country", will always be my favorite cut off The Crossing and their Live Shows. Always loved those Yamaha Guitars! Stuart, Bruce, Tony and Mark made such Wonderful Music. Stuart is Sorely Missed. 🙏🏻

Amazing clip! Not only Big Country but one of my other fav tunes Fields of Fire !!! The flannel, the pegged pants, the hair, the colors, everything in this video is a dream of 1983....oh, not to mention the drumming, the bag pipe guitars (how'd they do that??!) Stuart's strong voice declaring war on pessimism...yep 1983 that was the year!
@strappaplank60176 ай бұрын
they had a BOSS bagpipe effects pedal, I used to joke with mates, brilliant band

Great stuff ! Even if it does not sound as polished as the studio recording I still love it for the sheer energy and rawness. I'm guessing Stuart's voice was a bit overworked because of the way he sang "winter-tiii-iii-me" !
