I've wrote this theory on a few other One Piece reviews of this chapter. I think Big Mom resents giants because I believe that she is a product of the government experimenting on turning people into giants like the kids from Punk Hazard. Her "illness" where she uncontrollablely rampages for sweets is like the kids from Punk Hazard and how they would fiend for the candy medicine or whatever it was. I think Luffy will be able to cure her illness via Cesar Clown. In exchange, I think she'll let Sanji free and force one of the other Vinsmoke brothers to marry into the family. I think Big Mom will end up being more of a friend than foe when all said and done with this arc.

My guess-- Elbaf holds the fourth Road poneglyph. Big Mom with her spies probably already knows what the other Yonko's Road poneglyphs say but she needed Lola to marry the ruler of the giants so they'd reveal how to get at their poneglyph so she could put her knowledge together to find Raftel. The other Yonko might know each other's Road poneglyphs too, and in that case Elbaf's will be the key piece in a future arc. If the SH escape here and when the Wano Arc is finished and they head to Elbaf it would be my bet that's when it goes down with BM when she tries again to read the last Road poneglyph. If Oda wants the search to go on for a little longer he could have Kaido's Road poneglyph stolen before the SH can read it as part of the Throne Wars and that could be the post-Elbaf arc.

I disagree King, Brooke has cried tears, sweat, drooled and bled before plus he poops therefore he's pees. Brooke has been shown to be affected by devil fruits at manipulating the body, gas and drowning work too which means he potentially can be juiced like anyone else but I'm assuming Smoothie has way more dangerous attacks using liquids. I have a couple theories about this chapter, and the arc in general. The first is that I think Lola was supposed to marry the giant king or something, and they needed the deal just as much as Big Mom did because she probably had something useful to them. So when Lola left, the giants got mad and left as well, which is why Big Mom hates Lola. The second is that I think the reason Big Mom is so lenient with Luffy is that she knows that Robin is the only one that can read the Poneyglyphs and she is trying to get Luffy in a position where she can use Robin, or just straight up kidnap her so she can force Robin to read them for her.

There's no way Luffy is getting another Timeskip. Granted, like you said, we all love Luffy's ambition and it feels like Marine Ford all over again (strong willed, but won't mean shit), but Luffy's either going to start taking Ls, somehow be on good terms with her, or Big Mom will be defeated with whoever Luffy will be allying with. There's no time to be training now. Zoro and Law are heading to Wano. There's going to have to be a power jump, or someone will teach Luffy how to awaken. Maybe Luffy's awakening can help along with everyone else, etch out a W over Big Mom. The Vinsmokes, Capone gang, SHs and whoever else are at the Tea Party will be fighting BIG MAM.

Does Whitebeard as an old and sick man making Akainu his bitch ring any bell? Or Marco being able to casually fight on par with Kizaru? Or Benn Beckman making Kizaru stop in his tracks? If there wasn't a huge difference in power between the Admirals and Yonko, then the WG would've had all 3 Admirals systematically take out all the Yonko one at a time. The Yonko are the main reason why the WG can't dominate the New World. Not to mention that Sengoku and the Gorosei said if two Yonko teamed up, the WG would be royally fucked. Also Roger was the strongest of them all. He was above all of the Yonko of his generation aside from Whitebeard who was the only one on his level aside from Garp.

Storm Bringer777 if u really look at the fight with bias aside, akainu was winning the fight one on one. Sure akainu took a cheap shot at whitebeard but whitebeard couldn't defend back where as when whitebeard took a cheap shot at akainu, he was able to somewhat fight back and blow half of whitebeards head off before tanking whitebeards punch and even that didn't do much to akainu. When they weren't taking cheap shot at each other, they were pretty equal. I do believe a yonko is a bit stronger than an admiral, however a weak and old yonko is not stronger or is the same as an admiral. If u really look at it, Rayleigh and Marco did a better job at fight kizaru than whitebeard. It's just my opinion though so if u strongly disagree there's no need to go off on me and start a fan war.

Admiral Kong First time, Akainu was very serious while Whitebeard was very casual and he only lost because he had a bad heart attack. The second time Akainu got his shit pushed in and was falling into an abyss and couldn't get up for a long time.

Storm Bringer777 You're so wrong it's not even funny. Akainu and WB clashed equally twice. WB's sickness did not affect the power of his DF itself, not all parameica depend on the user's strength, if it did then BB who is physically weaker than WB wouldn't of been able to perform quake feats on the scale of WB despite being inexperienced with the Goro Goro no Mi. WB sneak attacked Akainu while he was focused on Marco and Luffy, hitting him with two full-powered body shots that which were far from killing him (he got up and defeated all of WB's commanders). yet ppl think he was owned by WB? It's hilarious. And no, Roger was simply the first to find Raftel and also had Pluton in his possession. Power-wise he was on the level of WB, Shiki, and Garp mentioned in the Blue World Data Book. It's obvious seeing as he had multiple battles with each of them and couldn't achieve a decisive victory.
