ABOUT: In this video I explore the streets of Davao city, the most populous city in Mindanao, Philippines. I'm staying in Poblacion, near People's Park, eating in carenderias, drinking in coffee shops and meeting friendly locals. Today I take an early morning walk to People's Park, return to my hotel to chat about life, then walk again around People's Park in the evening talking about my thoughts on living in Davao City.

Dude, I was just there at building 5, first building on left once through the gate. Disappointing. Was tired, small and had ants. I left a daily later and came to Panglao.

@BiggWorldCinema I was in the same hotel just a few months ago (September-October) the Hotel Galleria meets the basics and the pool is quite nice, didn't like the stairs though, I also stayed at the Crown Regency hotel for a slightly higher price but also a bit nicer with a larger pool and relaxation area. Also took me a little while to get used to the traffic but the park was nice and I went to the Crocodile park aswell, there is a lot to see around, some of the malls are worth walking around for food experiences, I moved on to a smaller city called Digos which has some charming little beaches and a slower pace. I for one will definitely be going back, most of the people are genuine, nice and welcoming, Best of luck in your travels and finding a condo!

Hope you enjoy Davao. I've been here as a fellow brit 6 mths. Its seems more ordered and safer and cleaner than mnl or cebu. Athough locals seem more conservative and reserved. Not really a place for chasing girls or nightlife but good as a retirement destination. However Northpoint condo seems old and tired and less value for money compared to whats available elsewhere. Safe travels

Canibad beach, alloro beach, dao dao water falls, monfort bat caves, blue lagoon resort, kaputian beach, paradise island resort, kembali resort, kaputian beach and talikud island which the other side of samal island. Actually there many beautiful places in samal island aside that I have mention. Try also visit dahican beach in mati which part of davao oriental that located to west coast Davao which five hour travel from Davao by car

I am looking in the area between Iligan city and Cagayan de Oro. Stay between two big cities next to the sea. Plus the Luguandina airport is between the two cities. I have enjoyed my stays there and even a few good restaurants 😊

Typhoons are very rare in this part of Mindanao Island which is one of the reasons this is on my short list.

You know what get a good discount if you'll book a room for 30 nights at a time. Many times even if you just stay 21 nights out of the 30 year still saving money over paying for each night weather per night or several nights at a time

There's already a relatively built-up modern business park in the north, way past Abreeza, in Lanang DIstrict, in what is called Davao Park District. Around the SM Lanang Premiere Mall, the business park was developed by Megaworld, the developer of BGC Uptown. It's true, the city is spread-out Btw, there are lots of indigenous tribe people in Davao, you obviously interviewed a few of them in the park

I can’t remember when it when it was like it was either 2018 or 2019 I was in Burham Thailand and every day that I was there they would play the national anthem at about 6 o’clock and everybody would just stop whatever they were doing and just stand there First time I was with a couple of friends and we were at a night market. It started getting dark already and it came over the loudspeaker system and just stopped and looking around Mr. stupid not realizing what’s going on, but I don’t remember them doing it the last time I was there.

The reason for no motor bike taxis in Davao is they have cheaper taxis that have no air con.

I did 2 stints in Philippines and both times the joints started talking to me and quit soon after leaving. I chalked it up to the low quality food nutritionally deficient, soils depleted from over use and improper management my guess
