Jesus you’ve already fucking lost man. “Too old” at 23? Dude your brain hasn’t even fully developed yet. How are you too old? You’re 26 now which means you’re in your second year of being “prime” which is 25-30. Maybe up to 33-35 if you keep yourself really healthy and motivated. Now would be the time to put your foot on the gas pedal not think the race is already over. Jesus, next I’m gonna read comments from 20 year olds talking about “Am I too old for film school?”

Professionals always give that advice but sometimes it's hard to know how to dump all your current friends, family and acquaintances and replace them with ambitious, active people. If I knew the exact person to call up who can hook me up with a better life I would but even then I'd suspect it's a scam.
@HISHAM9317 жыл бұрын
MrCompassionate01 I don't think it literally means abandon your family and close friends. It has more to do with blocking out the negative energy and not letting it dictate your misery. The closest people are the most critical.

Im 25 and on the same boat as the guy. Mid life crisis was around 40 but now the way shit is instead of mid life quarter life crisis. Can't even find a crappy min. wage job in my area nor get a girl. No friends and a dead social life. It sucks but i'll get there one day. We all will. Just gotta take things 1 day at a time.

I don't know if this is gonna help anybody but i am 23 right now and i am in the same situation. No girlfriends, no interests, no hobbies nothing. And i get depressed sometimes from this and when that happens, this is what i do and i would advise others. If you've lost motivation to do anything that gives you a purpose in life, procrastinate HARD. Just lie down in bed and watch lots of bill burr or standup or anything that you like watching and keep watching it and procrastinating. With me, just 3 days of procrastination is enough to bring me back on my feet and get back the motivation to get things done.

I find it weird that whenever you get depressed, people tell you to be more positive, but whenever you are positive, those same people will say some negative judgmental shit to bring you down. like wtf.
@zeldagoblin8 жыл бұрын
You're right. I recently had an upturn in my life and got with a great guy after years, well, decades of horrific shit. I tell my friend how great it is and all she can say is, "Be careful, don't get your hopes up, etc." Bollocks, people just can't let you be happy.

Bill talked about how a lot of his friends told him not to move to LA bc it's too hard there, but he decided not to listen to them, since he knew they were just jealous.

People should "do" instead of "be". Instead of telling people "just be positive and think this and that", I tell people to "go do positive things, something productive that you like to do". Most people who are feeling down and negative often engage in destructive things or they hangout with negative destructive people. You really should not spend time with people who are going nowhere or are constantly trying to bring you down".

I'm 22 years old who just graduated as an accountant and let me tell you something. You're advice is good but. Unfortunately Bill. Where I live you can't just do what you love. The only reason I majored accountant is to make a living because I knew back in high school doing what I love is not an option to make a good living in my country. Which is art. I'm not saying I will suck. I know I will be a great artist but There will be no income out of my work and end up broke. What funny is I can't even find a job as an accountant and I ended up broke and jobless Anyway. I love you're podcast keep it up.

@zeldagoblin8 жыл бұрын
If she's terrible, break up with her. You can still be a great parent and not be in a bad relationship. In fact, being in a shit relationship will make you a worse patent, guaranteed. Ok, you will always have a link with her via the child, but you don't need to get tied up to someone who is wrong for you at 23. I did it and I'm now 40 and only just starting to address it, what a waste.

Joe Buck is the friggin worst sportscaster I've ever listened to. How does he rate for the world series? I heard he's got lineage connections cuz he has zero talent as a sportscaster. There are so many better sportscasters who are not zombies who lack enthusiasm. I feel sorry for all these other sportscasters who slogged thru sh-tstorms only to end up having Joe Buck cut in line in front of them. Nowadays colleges cost 50K so some people can get a masters in Poetry -that's as useless as these idiots who spend 50k so they can climb Mt Everest. Better off doing something practical like welding, plumbing-gas or electrical or tree trimmer.. People always need those guys & eventually you get good enough then you're your own boss. People always need those guys -will still be true in 30 years. By then you can program solar powered droids to pick fruit and veggies and have aerial drones do your tree trimming for ya and pick the fruit from the upper reaches of trees. Think ahead.
