Billy Joel is amazing. Whatever style of music he approaches, he produces magic.

One of my favorite songs. We played it at my wife's funeral, and it left not a dry eye in the house

Billy Joel is one of my favorite vocalists of all time. I once drove my cousin crazy singing along to nearly every single song during his concert. Of all the lyrics this talented man wrote, this one from Lullabye is one of the most moving: "Someday, we'll all be gone, but lullabies go on and on... They never die. That's how you and I will be."

This always brings a tear to my eye. Especially now, my dad passed away a year ago on the 16th.

This song always makes me cry. There was this lullaby I sang to my nephew when he was young, many years ago now. One day, a young female friend of his was talking about her daughter and how she was having trouble getting hey to sleep. And he breaks out this song that I used to sing to him. I was surprised that not only did he remember the song, but all the words as well. He wanted her to record it so she could have it ready to play. That meant the world to me. That song meant a lot to us back then, and it still means a lot more. I know when my time comes, this lullaby will live on in him.

I bawl like a baby every time I hear this. My dad left me at the age of 7, and I long for that security. Since becoming a mom to my three girls, I feel my deep love for them, and how they will always be a part of me.❤️

I am adding another comment. I heard this song a lot in college. My husband and I danced to She’s got a way. But I have never seen this video. It is so beautiful and moved me to tears.

He has commented that he came up with this song after his daughter asked him what happens when you die. He doesn't perform it often because he gets emotional singing it.

When my 20-year-old nephew died suddenly, during the memorial service, his fiancé stood up on stage singing this song, acapella no less, and didn’t shed a tear nor miss a note. She had a gorgeous voice and she used to sing this song to him at night. Every time I hear this song now, I have to cry, silently
