Buying men's underwear was the easiest part of my transition because a couple of years before I realised I was transgender my mom bought me a pair of men's boxer briefs as a joke (idk why) and said that I at least could wear them at night. After wearing them a couple of times I started to really like them and asked my mum to buy another pair and since then I've only wore boxer briefs.

You probably won’t need all this advice when you grow older. Trans at 12? Eh, unlikely. You do you, but don’t make choices you’ll regret later on. I had a similar case when I was a little around your age. You’re probably just very tomboyish, or going through puberty, which means lots of changes in mind and body. You might feel out of the box now, or believe you’re, uh, trans or any other gender the Internet provides, but give it a few years, you’ll look back and be surprised at how much you’ve changed, or cringe at your past beliefs and/or watch history... Consider coming back here when you’re older, when your brain is more stable, or something of the sort. In any case, good luck. :P
@amypatterson90736 жыл бұрын
@@cyrrender Just because this happened with you doesn't mean that this applies to everyone. Even if you don't believe they are trans at least be respectful and keep your opinion to yourself. Many trans people know from a young age but even if they are a trender or just confused it's doesn't mean you have the right to be rude to a child you dont know over the internet
@cyrrender6 жыл бұрын
Amy Patterson Now now, where did I disrespect them or be rude? I was just advising them. Children shouldn’t exactly be on the Internet nonetheless, but I guess it’s normal to be now. People younger than 14 tend to be easily influenced by things on the net, and they themselves start believing in things that aren’t really... Alright, I feel like if I go on it’ll lead to misunderstandings. I meant no harm, I was just giving advice. Adolescence is a period of tremendous change, after all, and constant change, that is.

Also : you probably wont be able to find gc2b bimders in your size (at least I dont) but underworks has a larger selection of sizes. Oh, and long briefs (like the "im an old brit dude" underwear") often are better for larger people cause they dont cling to the thigh at all and often come in larger sizes (i got charles wilson ones from amazon, 6 for like 15€ and that's cheap af for the quality) ! Also you may want to get a longer binder because tri tops binders tend to roll up the chest when you've got a bigger stomach, so it's going to hide better + it also hides the hips a bit !!

@@galaxychill9578 Being only an engineering student, I have a limited base of body mechanics, but here's my thoughts. probably tummy inward, going more towards pike rather than hollow position, like an old man hunching over. My reasoning: doing so makes it easier for your diaphram to push the air out with a full cough rather than a stifled one when leaning back and this is a prosition coughing usually puts one in anyways. Now, for my theory behind the cough itself : I'm gonna guess one coughs to loosen up any locked muscles to then open up freely once again when you breath in.

This video was posted ages ago but it's super helpful as I've worked with trans people at work (retail, shopping) and these sorts of things are important to know as it can help me to make things more comfortable for them by understanding.

Thank you. Thank you so much for putting in this much effort. The worst transphobia I have ever experienced was from a shop assistant. Thank you for going out of your way to make sure others don't have to deal with situations like that. Your kindness and understanding will mean the world to your customers.

@@Rachel-fi4sc I'll continue to do my best, everyone deserves respect and understanding no matter where they are and I want to try and make sure that always happenes no matter where I work. I had one experience where I was helping a person who was mid-transition while they were in my fittingroom and I felt horrible as other employees in our store want to "get a look at them". I kept my girls busy keeping those other associates at bay but I wished I could have done more. I never saw that person again and I'm sure it's because of that incident, I'll always feel so horrible about it. I hope you never have a bad experience ever again and always feel safe and happy no matter where you go ❤
@Rachel-fi4sc3 жыл бұрын
@@bunnyday1473 That sounds like an awful, awkward situation! Thank you for doing something to keep that person safe. Hindsight is always 20/20, and it's much easier to come up with ideas when separate from the stressful incident, but if something like that ever happens again, would a threat of calling store security on the associates work? Because, that sort of behaviour is 110% not on, and there might be a good legal case for them a) acting inappropriately toward / perving on a customer, and b) misusing their privilege as employees to do so.
@bunnyday14733 жыл бұрын
@@Rachel-fi4sc honestly, it's something I would consider, sometimes you've just got to do something a bit more drastic when people don't listen and respect others. It's sad but it is what it is. Thanks for talking with me about this, I've always felt bad about what happened and wanted to learn so I can do better in the future and this has really helped, I hope I can do my best when it's needed 💚

@@bunnyday1473 Thank you for protecting that person as much as you could. Thank you for educating yourself to better protect others in the future. Having been on the receiving end of people like those unfortunate associates, I know how much it means to have people like you around.

Tomboyx underwear is great. Looks like male undies but fit the female form. I had a hard time getting well fitting boxer shorts but managed; j.crew used to make great ones, GAP also has some (but sold as PJ bottoms). My beef with the men's undies is that the waistband ends up way too high on my stomach. Or the crotch part hangs halfway to my knees =/ Although now they make those "gay undies" (those micro briefs first showed up in gay stores, about 10 years ago tops) so you can go with those. Even companies like fruit of the loom make "low waistline" boxerbriefs now. "Back in the days" there were less options 🤷♀️

@RoundSeal6 жыл бұрын
Me too, it's terrible. It makes trying to find underwear/trousers that fit an absolute nightmare. (Waist size fits, but it'll never get over the hips....or fits around the hips but it's so loose at the waist you can fit a battleship down your pants. sigh)

pro tip: in order to conceal a fleshy bulk, you actually wanna have the garment fit that area well, and then add more clothing bulk to the neighboring narrower body area!!! basically, its counterintuitive to add extra bulk to a zone you wish to de-bulk, so instead widen out your narrower zones to make your wide zones appear less wide by comparison! example: get pants that fit you perfectly at the waist to thigh zone with a straight/wide leg. also, upper body bulk is your friend!! tops and jackets with extra detailing on the shoulder area will add visual mass to that area and draw the eyes upwards (if you do that and add visual interest to the footwear department it can help make ya look taller too apparently)!

My boyfriend used briefs for packing but his new favorite is boxer jock from under armour. He likes his a little snug so things dont shift around on their own. He recently got a new multipurpose packer and started using a harness. Binding sucks especially for those with large chest. Wish the USA would wise up and make it so he could get at least top surgery. No way we can afford it on our own.

I enjoyed the underwear fashion show. As a cis male, i tend to have not enough in back and too much in front for most underwear, tho I have pretty good luck with pouch-front trunks. You should discuss the challenge of different proportions and finding clothes to fit.

Cheap and cheerful 😂 From watching another KZbin channel, Being British: Joel and Lia, I learned that the word pants in the UK means what we call underwear in the US. I had not known that before. We use the word pants to mean like trousers.

Just bought a binder, I got the size from my undergarment and t shirt size, I just tried it on... it is waaay too small it won't fit both my arms, my shoulders are too wide! Tried to do a DIY thing and cut one down the side, so I could attach velcro... no good! I just can't send it back right? I bought 2 and the other one I could sell on Ebay or something... just sad right now.. 😞😢 I was sooo excited, now I'm just kicking myself for hoping I was getting something right?! Any advice would be helpful, by the way my name is Randy 😉🙂😞
