WOW! i was looking for binding videos but this is a game changer. i quilt in a tiny tiny space so i do all my quilts in a variation of qayg where i sew my blocks into floppy columns averaging about 2-2 1/2 feet wide, then add batting and backing and quilt each column, and sew them together at the end. which i love, but adding the borders have always been a pain, and binding is tedious. so a light bulb went off for me watching this method of binding! if i add my border to my floppy, leave the backing super wide around the perimeter of the sections of quilted columns, and leave my batting a little less than half the extra width of my backing, and proceed as in this video, i'll end up with a nice big border slash binding- ALL IN ONE FELL SWOOP!

Decobob is my go-to thread for piecing and everything else. Light gray works with everything...even dark fabrics because the thread is so fine. (an STRONG). Tool Tip: A pair of eagle beak precision tweezers work really well for grabbing, flattening and turning fabric at corners.
