You know what, I'm kinda over horror movies where the monsters go largely unexplained. It was fun for a while but I kinda enjoyed the old horror movies where there was always some kind of explanation for them. Even if it was just "laboratory accident" or something lame like that. You don't have to go full Prometheus and overexplain the monsters to the point where nobody knows what's going on, but I like at least a little bit of an origin.

But i aslo mentiomed shadows.. Because as theyre going through the trees we can physically see them coming but not see them. We can also see a small shadow on the ground a few times.

I don't think they would have the kind of strength to rip of a blindfold, tho. I'm not sure if they are taking would but they are in some way sending the most unhappy thoughts a person can have to their minds which then causes them to rather kill themselves than continue to think them. It almost seems like more of an extra dimensional possession or something.
