What fun Rosie! When I worked in England I used to watch Steel Magnolias because i was so homesick. Now i remember Trudy ( Dolly) giving out this recipes, using fruit cocktail. I am going to try your cherry version. Yumm!

Hi Diane, I LOVED Steel Magnolias. That is one of my all time favorite movies. The cemetery scene when you're heart is breaking for Sally Fields and Olympia Dukakis tells her to slug Ouiser, because it would make her feel better. lol Oh my goodness, I went from balling my eyes out, to laughing hysterically. That was genius writing. So sad that we recently lost Olympia. Great memories, good times. Thanks for the visit!

Hi. It's called a cuppa, cuppa cobbler. It's been around a long time n it was talked about in the movie Steel Magnolias. You can n sub any canned fruit. Self rising flour works well if you don't have Bisquick. Baking it at 400° will give you a crisp crust. Great server with ice cream. Peace to you and yours

I also had to add a few tablespoons of sugar and nutmeg… So good!! I made a quick cream cheese topping and stuck it in the fridge it set up so nice it looked like a scoop of ice cream🥰 we almost ate the whole dish… thanks again🥰

Can you show me how to melt Butter for the Cherry Cobbler Recipe?
@RosieCooks Жыл бұрын
Hi Theodros, I usually just melt it in a microwave safe cup for about 30 seconds. If you don't have a microwave, just use a pan on the stove. TFW!
@ttesfay6 Жыл бұрын
@@RosieCooks When you melt the butter on the stove, do you melt the butter on the stove on Medium Heat, so that the Butter doesn’t burn?
@RosieCooks Жыл бұрын
@@ttesfay6 Hi Friend, I would probably use a medium low flame. Exactly for the reason that you say, it can burn. TFW! Good luck!

hello i can use sweet potato or yam for this cobble?
@RosieCooks2 жыл бұрын
Hi James, when you have canned sweet potato or yams they don't have any added sweetness. You usually have to add some vanilla and sugar. You can definitely use the bisquick crust. I haven't made a sweet potato pie, but I am assuming you can look up a recipe for the sweet potato pie and use this type of crust. I think that would be delicious. Let me know if you do that and how it comes out.

Can you mix the cherries with peaches in this recipe??
