@@manonvernon8646 Well, Geezer Butler the bassist was actually the rythym guitarist who down-tuned his guitar to play it as a bass. So in their 1st gig, Geezer had borrowed a bass from a friend and kind of played it like a guitar so they were kicked out and were told that the singer (Ozzy) and the bassist were crap. Later on they were beaten up outside the bar by 2 big men. - From an Interview with Geezer Butler Bill Ward used to have these huge 15 minute drum solos, because of which they were kicked out and no body would call them, so they had to change their band name. - From an Interview with Tony Iommi They never had a positive review about their album as they never spoke about peace, love, sunshine and girls like Zepellin did, and yet somehow continued. They never got any radio play because they were deemed as "satanic", and they became popular purely on word of mouth. - From an Interview with Tony, Geezer and Ozzy Wow that was a handful.

They were so Unique. Every Guitar riff Tony Iommi invented, was So Evil. Guitar-licks-of-Doom !!! Ozzy's Voice was so appropriate for Black Sabbath. He was Singing-from-the Grave. There will Never be another band like them. And they were: Better Musicians then people give them credit for.

Oh yeah! Some people say my love cannot be true Please believe me, my love, and I'll show you I will give you those things you thought unreal The sun, the moon, the stars all bear my seal Oh yeah! Follow me now and you will not regret Leaving the life you led before we met You are the first to have this love of mine Forever with me 'till the end of time Your love for me has just got to be real Before you know the way I'm going to feel I'm going to feel I'm going to feel Oh yeah! Now I have you with me, under my power Our love grows stronger now with every hour Look into my eyes, you'll see who I am My name is Lucifer, please take my hand Oh yeah! Follow me now and you will not regret Leaving the life you led before we met You are the first to have this love of mine Forever with me 'till the end of time Your love for me has just got to be real Before you know the way I'm going to feel I'm going to feel I'm going to feel Oh yeah! @ЗахаровМикита4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you are right brother. All that black and death metal crap sounds boring, not heavy. Some of the heavy metal and thrash metal songs are still heavy and cool though
@ariat33814 жыл бұрын
@@ЗахаровМикита you can't just disqualify entire genres like that, you lazy fuck. And it's not always about heavyness either, btw. But I agree that lots of people might confuse a brutal riff with a heavy riff, and if you want heavy riffs, you gotta look at doom, stoner/doom, sludge etc.

Bill Wards use of triplet kicks between the snares and kicks really locks into a groove. No other drummer that played for Sabbath incorporated quite like he did. Goosebumps every time I listen to this!

My dad saw Black Sabbath live 4 times in their hayday in the early 70's. He's a super fan to say the least. I went and saw Ozzy in my teens in the early 2000's. Never felt closer to my dad than at that concert.

This song sounds decades ahead of its time. Blows my mind everytime I play the record. Everything about it sounds like it could've been released in the 90's.

"N.I.B." begins with a bass solo by Geezer Butler, titled "Bassically" on some US releases. It involves the use of wah-wah on his bass and was recorded in one take, as the amp's volume control is audibly turned up before the distorted bass intro of "N.I.B." begins.

I was 10 years old in the August of 2020 in 5th grade and I got into rock music. Black Sabbath was the band that introduced me to rock music. In fact n.i.b Was the first rock song I ever listened to. This video was the first time I listened to black sabbath and rock music. I'm in 6th grade and I'm into many more rock legends. But black sabbath will always be my all time favorite band.
