Bleach hits different as an adult. 14 year old me just couldn’t get into it. I was too obsessed with the nonstop action, slapstick humor, and bright colors of one piece and dragon ball (which I still love FYI before any antis start foaming at the mouth). Man though Bleach is heavy for a shounen anime. The psychological and emotional battles that characters face in addition to the physical ones are intense! Characters also lose big time and the consequences of those losses remain with them throughout the series. And while the paranormal aspect of the series is fiction, much of the trauma, desires, and mental health issues that characters like Ichigo face area realistic, hitting too close to home for many of my own problems I dealt with in my later adolescents. Honestly I think this part is what made some of us tune out to bleach more than one piece and naruto. Naruto and Luffy helped me escape the crappy parts reality. Ichigo threw is right back in my face that sometimes, life just sucks.

Something along the line of [...9 months to regain his heartbeats, 9 weeks to restore his breaths, and 9 days to regain the world]. Good video. I too have watched all of the Bleach episodes years ago, and I did had my mixed views on how the story progressed for everything it had to offer. However, just like how Boruto is slowly becoming a worthwhile series, I suppose the continuation of Bleach may give us some promising moment that will make over decade worth of waiting pay, but only based how well it goes. Also, just a thought, to any fan of Ichigo's English Voice Actor - Johnny Yong Bosch, who also played as Adam Park in the original Power Rangers series, did you ever believe that the moment when Ichigo became a substitute Soul Reaper was ever inspired by how Adam gained his Black Ranger powers? Well I don't know about you, but what do you think?

What makes the series work is the fact that only Ichigo and his friends are truly good, every other faction and character encountered is a shade of gray if not sinister. Even the usually affable/likable Kisuke and Yoruichi are assassins who were trained to kill without mercy for Soul Society's crooked aristocracy. In all beneath its spiritual action there's strong philosophical motifs. Truly a legacy series.

@@manuelacosta9463 i always thought Hueco Mundo and the hollow world as just pure nature and survival and pack ranking instinct without the human conditioning and during Lord Barragan's fight with a handful eerie lines delivered and the way he treats his own hollow low rankings beneath him out of boredom could change some opinions about the Espadas in general if Aizen were not to interfere and use them and they would technically still be wearing their hollow masks and take non humanoid forms and behaviors even with sentience they are still in fact a hollow with greater intelligence with abilities of consciences but with no human heart or human conditioning as hollows are driven by pure state of instinct and hunger for energy.

@@SilverVolo not gonna lie i came off too strong i'm just tired of people saying that my bad. naruto came out 2002 bleach came out 2004 and one piece came out in 97 all relatively close (especially naruto and bleach). they were all the most talked about series most selling manga and just insanely popular shows of the 2000s hence the name big 3. people get confused and add in dragon ball when its run started in the 80s and ended mid 90's (dbz). prior to this what was running the anime/mana game would be yuyu hakusho, slam dunk along with dragon ball they where making the $$$. once they ended tho these new series (big 3) replaced them. now we got an era where there are multiple heavy hitter series instead of just three (which i prefer more bangers i ain't complaining) but you could argue that there are three that are the most popular but not by the margin that was naruto bleach and one piece compared to the other series running during that time.
