Dude I was like- isn't the grandma gonna get a seizure halfway through their big epic fight? 🤣 But tbh I'd give this one a 7/10. Nothing we haven't seen before for sure but I think it's one of the better live-action DC movies lately. Its encouraged me to check out the Blue Beetle comics too!

I think it was good. Not greatest movie ever good, but still a good time. The acting of the family and the main character was on point. It felt like they were actually a family. Love interest was OK. Villains were mid. Cgi is fine, blue beetle looks good. Worst cgi in the entire film was the flamingo at the mansion (a very minor thing) Jokes are a 65% hit and 35% miss.

As a Latino, this movie was super mediocre. I watched this imo San Antonio, and with mostly other Latinos in the theater, which was maybe 7 people, it was quiet and no one really laughed. George Lopez was a little too over the top that it took away the immersion. The movie just fell flat. This felt like a CW movie, or something that should have just went to Netflix

Yeah I felt the exact same way, I gave 5.5/10. Funny cause the two friends I was with loved this movie for reasons. The plot is so paper thin it’s like the absolute basic sci-fi plot.

Blue Beetle was one of my favorite characters growing up (specifically the Jamie version) he was one of the few Latino heroes I could look up to; I enjoyed the movie and I enjoyed the fact that there was finally someone who showcased parts of my culture in a superhero film on the big screen. I’m not saying you gotta love it but maybe understand what it means to some people. Also a Static movie would be hype! Too bad Michael B. Jordan’s too old, he would have killed it as Vergil

If Hollywood wants to make a movie about Latin immigrants and their struggles, they can do it. Just don't put that in a superhero film about a guy with sentient space armor. Those two ideas do not mix.

I don't think you really saw the movie, you just read a plot synopsis. Hell this isn't even really a review, just you reading a plot synopsis. You get multiple character names wrong, you get the facts wrong. "Blue Beetle hasn't been seen since the 30's" Yeah, Dan Garrett hasn't been around, but his successor Ted Kord was involved in dozens of terrific stories in the 80's and 90's with the Justice League International and his buddy Booster Gold. Jaime, which is pronounced hi-may btw, is one of the better legacy heroes in recent comics history and one of the only good things to come out of the Infinite Crisis storyline. If you're tired of superhero movies, that's your fault for watching too many of them.
