I watched this so many times. The tire chirps sounded so awesome! Is that a stock 335d with a xhp tune, or did you do abc deletes?

The engine power is not stock, no. However, I have intentionally limited 1st gear torque delivery so it doesn't just shred the tires. Torque limiting is done through xHP. I have one other video after making some changes to the tune. I have since done even more tweaking and have gotten firmer shifts along with lowering the shift points to around 4300rpm. Car feels much faster now. I need to take a video of the most recent changes

Did you try stage 3/4? Just had mine done on stage 2 comfort - noticed a bit of difference, mainly torque .. but wondering if I should go a stage up (640d)

I haven't yet but I'm considering trying stage 3 and seeing what the difference really is (of course I'll have to adjust shift points down, I think they'll be more aggressive). I just wanted a decent little bump in performance so that's why I went straight to stage 2. I also have another video after I've done a few revisions, you can see the current shift points there

Was the tune worth it and what do you make of this older gen 335d, really considering one with the price of them at the moment

Absolutely worth it. I love that you can customize almost any aspect of the shifting to suit your needs. Also you can have totally different shift maps for Drive, sport. And M modes. I just bought the car 2 months ago, so far I love it! I've done quite a bit of work to it so far, lots of little things that aren't surprising given the car has 120k miles. It's a great commuter though, tons of power and gets almost 40mpg

@@GTkyle thanks any performance mods on yours apart from gearbox Map

@@p1fly Yeah, the engine is tuned. Also I just put in a reman Valve body. When I initially tuned the transmission, I never had any drivability issues but having that software, I noticed my A clutch and E clutch adaptives were very high. So I put a reman valve body in a long with sleeves and seals and after resetting and driving a couple weeks, clutch adaptives look great. It's one of the common issues. Valve body bores wear out and fluid leaks internally instead of being sent to the clutch in the trans.

what rear tire you running?

Some crappy, 6 year old, 3/4 wore 225 width continentals. I have a set of 255 Michelins I've been waiting on to put on some new rims. When those show up. I'll be able to increase the engines torque limiters in 1st and 2nd gear through the xHP software, be able to take advantage of the better traction.
