I was thinking about getting a Cayman GTS but they are still quite pricey, and I would like the option of carrying 4 adults, so the M2 is my next choice. I've always owned manuals, but I'm thinking the DCT might be the better long term choice, as I can't stand driving a stick in traffic. Love the Laguna Seca blue color.

+My Garage Tv Thank you!! !It was my only concern since day one of ordering. I loved the DCT and was worried the Manual would fail to be at that level. Did the Performance Delivery and the car used there was also DCT! But the moment I got my actual car and drove it it was everything I expected and more. You will love when you get your seat time in a manual!

I picked mine up at the Performance Center in late April. My car was supposed to be the demo car for my local dealer, so I had no choice regarding options. I drove nothing but manuals for 35 years, and after 5 months with the DCT, I love it. I have 4 track days and several autocrosses on it (check my channel for a couple of quick and dirty videos), and you'll see it's basically a cheat code for shifting. The rest of the car is a complete giggle-fest. Yeah, it's heavier than I'd like, but it hides it well. And the steering could have a little better feel, but it works well, and it'll turn in with authority. The back end, though... You always know *exactly* how much grip and slip angle you have. Marvelous!

I was behind a RS3 yesterday and it was fast as hell. We were actually coming up to where a police station is so i slowed my row but the guy must of been going 100 mph so hopefully he still has his driver's license. I wonder how the M2 and RS3 would do against each other though.

RS3 is slightly faster I believe, but no where near the fun to drive. Love Audi's for many reason's but not for the all wheel drive that understeers.

@@BrianJohnson-kh7mg I enjoyed the M2 a lot. It’s a fun car but Porsche is where my heart is. The 987 is relatively “slow” compared and for todays standards but as a drivers car it is one of the last great analog experiences. If it’s a second car, I think it’s perfect. As a daily, I might lean back towards the M2.

What do you mean people complain about it not being tunable enough? I thought the n55 was like the gold standard of tune-ability. what changed?

The motor in the M2 is a tuned version of the N55 by BMW so there is not much left in it for the tuners.

I am in a b8.5 s4 6mt currently and am looking for another archaic six speed vehicle because that's what I like and between the spun crank hubs w/ the s55 and the lowish hp/tq ceiling currently w/ the m2 (aftermarket wise) I'm sort of treading water until I make a decision or stay w/ my s4. champagne problems. thanks for the quick response.

karlo sm The M235i is a nice car but they are very different. The M2 is a much better sports car and more fun in every way. If it was me I would go for the M2 for sure.

Back sear good? Come on...i barely even fit in my f32 4 series. I am just a bit shy of 6 ft. I have absolutely no head room. Barely any leg room when i set the driver seat to my preference. Smaller 2 series can only go downhill from there. Fit in regular size fella? Bullshit.

Tommy Texter Well the car is obviously not designed for that purpose but it is still a perfectly usable back seat when needed. If I really wanted to comfortably transport people in the back regularly I'd buy a 4 door at minimum. But that's just a bonus for this car because no one is buying this car for that purpose.
