Such a shame that they discontinued the European Delivery program (for US customers, at least) We did the European Delivery for our 2008 “year 1 of the 1” 135i and I would say it still ranks as one of the highlights of MY LIFE. We spent 10 days driving all around Germany, including 2 gentle laps on the Nurburgring, and I have nothing but good things to say about the entire experience! ❤️

I have the M3 competition xdrive for six months now. I thought I would drive like 10.000km per year with it. But after these six months I already did 17.800km with it 🤦🏾‍♂️. I just love the car. It is such a perfect car to drive. I hope that the Touring will be as exciting to drive as the saloon.

So funny, when I got my 135i (year 1 of the 1) it was supposed to be my new primary vehicle but it wound up being almost strictly a weekend and track car. I joked that it had more miles on a trailer than it did on the street, and really, it probably wasn’t too far from the truth. I just loved the car so much that I was terrified to drive it for normal day-to-day use and park it anywhere. Looking back, of course, I regret it because i squandered some of my time with it, but I will say that, despite only putting less than 20,000 miles on it in 4 years, i probably went through 5 or 6 sets of tires. 😏

Same as this is not a M4 Touring, the "M2 Touring" would be a 1 series. As the 1 series is too small for proper Touring bodystyle, it's a hatchback. So, the M140i is the closest you can get to a "M2 Touring". Btw, it would be called 1 M, because there can't be a new, compact class, M1.

Interesting fact, found out that the BMW G81 M3 Touring did not pass the United States 🇺🇸 NHTSA and IIHS Crash Tests. So for BMW to pass the U.S. safety tests the BMW engineers would have to update/upgrade the touring chassis. BMW M, I say get it done!

i am happy that bmw is not afraid to conceptualize and test. almost the same thing with the x series. someone had to be brave and design. for this i would like to see quad bucket seats. hopefully the suspension can be fine tuned.
