Interesting game this week...love that it has a simple rule set and plays fast, and the art looks fantastic. The wide ranging player count is a bonus. It's rare to find a game that can play up to 7 outside of social deduction and party games.

Love this game. It's so simple and addictive. Once everyone knows what they are doing the game zips by rather quickly. It's on BGA, if anyone wants to try it out digitally.

At around 21 minutes in, when Lincoln drafted the war card with a trumpet, since he had the token he had, he should have also drafted an additional card.

At the end, Deborah didn't have the 4 different resources, because she discarded all the paper. But, the final results doesn't change so it's not that important. Great game!

Yeah, at 42:00, she clearly discards 2 Glass cards as part of her "4 different".

I believe that Deborah had 4 different, she just turned in the wrong cards

@@jonathanwork7070 She had four different at the start of the turn but she used all of her scrolls for the 3 of a kind so she didn't have another one left for the 4 different. Not a huge deal though because I think on the previous turn she missed out on a gold card she should have drawn because she drew a resource card and didn't draw again.

This was great! I played it a few times on BGA but never read the rules and didn't know the nuances. This was very helpful. I think this was the first time I saw Lincoln do a teach and he did such a great job!

This games looks fun and accessible. I haven’t played 7 Wonders but it confuses me at first glance. This is pretty straight forward. I am curious about Lincoln’s wonder and the point spread but the extra points available make up for it. Great play through. I wasn’t sure who was going to win this one.

It's a huge step backwards to make the game not be played simultaneously. So you spend MORE time playing a much simpler and more random/lucky game than the original 7 Wonders. Anyway, thanks for showing a live-play....which has helped me removing that game from my want to play list. ;-)

I really enjoy your reviews but wish you would say if it is a good 2 player game in each review. Some games can be played with 2 players but are much better with 3-4 player. That information would be really helpful.

At 22 minutes Lincoln should have gotten a second card because of his science token.

i dont really know what to think of this game.sure its quick and easy and has good components but It feels a little like you can totally randomly pick the face down card (or any other) without thinking and still do pretty fine with that in the end. it doesnt feel like i am making important decisions at all.

I've only played 7 Wonders a couple of times, but this seems a bit faster paced. A lot less analysis paralysis. Might have to pick it up for the kids and I to play.

Seems like a fun game, but it baffles me that Lincoln almost never went for military cards when he had the chance because they gave him a free draw anyway

One thing I see that you missed rules-wise is that after each battle, you discard all war cards with horns, keeping any without them. I like this version because it's much easier to teach and will get to the table more often, plus the tactile/visual aspect of actually building the wonders is nice, and the war is slightly simplified by not having players lose points if they lose the war. Of course, many people won't like the randomness and the lighter gameplay. I play this a lot on BGA which has a great online version,but only because I can't get my physical copy to any table much these days still.

I believe Deborah didn’t have 4 different ressources at the end. She used two glasses for the last part… Another turn should have been played, or she needed another ressource with her special thing.

Ramiah, I'm not sure of the moment you are referring in your link but I am only allowed to take an additional card if I take a military card that has a horn(s) on it. I might have made a mistake but I don't think so. Thanks for the note and for watching.-Lincoln
