Djinn Djarin has just became more engrained in Star Wars lore than Rey or Kylo could in 3 feature-length films!!! What an episode, amazing how great Luke was. Literally cried when I saw him at first giving lessons to Grogu and speaking of Yoda. Never stay down!

Came here to say the same thing. I watched Star Wars in the early 90s and this episode is everything I've wanted Star Wars to continue as after RotJ. Never thought I'd ever see Luke or Grogu again. This episode was amazing fan service and it was done in a way that pushes the narrative of the ENTIRE Star Wars canon.
@tbirdguy1
@tbirdguy1 2 жыл бұрын
To be fair, all the characters in the Sequel films were done a great disservice by the hands off approach by Disney and the producers. They never had a chance to be good because they were constantly being whipped back and forth into dumb story paths. Djinn has had a consistent tone because of Filloni and Favreau. This is the approach that should have been taken with the sequels, one director at the helm, with the same basic story in mind.
@certified_casual

@@tbirdguy1 Didn't Disney retcon that trilogy or was that just a rumor? Anyway, I agree that with Force Awakens I was a little iffy, but I thought "maybe theres a reason for the things that happened," but nothing paid off and things just snowballed and got worse. I was totally into Luke's story and wanted to see it continue, but it didn't until now (even not focused on him, we still get to see what hes up to and whats happening. And its canon, not just fan fiction.)

Most fans I know been following star wars at a early age. I am 38 years old and I saw star wars at 7 and it was my favorite movie of all time and followed it since then. So all I can say is the most of hype comes from the biggest fans right now. Its still good but your perception of good maybe different from others, kind of how like Rays was. But Mandalorian Season 2 and Boba Fett has been doing huge fan service finally and people are now freaking out. So if you don't follow star wars that much, your perception maybe different.

No matter how perfect it was a star wars story, for them to add it onto the Bobba Fett series is a huge injustice to the character & actor. Easily could have seperated the two & made Bobba Fett the powerful presence we saw in mando s2. For dave or john to make the decision to sideline him seems very very odd

Additional questions that I have: -Will there be another appearance of the Hutts in the finale? -Will we see any more cameos? Maybe Han? -Will Boba decide he doesn’t want to be in charge anymore? Especially after the end of Ep 6. -Will other bounty hunters like Dengar, Bossk, or IG88 appear as additional muscle for Boba? -Will Luke relent and let Grogu stay as an apprentice even though he chooses the chainmail? So many possibilities. One final thought, I am more interested in this one episode than I was for TLJ or ROS. Hands down. The ST really does suck.

I think the Hutts are done for now, probably going to focus on the Pykes Cameos, I think we might see some bounty hunters like Bossk and Dengar, but I feel like the Pykes are going to hire them. As for Han, I think it’d most likely be a mention rather than seeing him

This was my favorite episode of any Star Wars thing ever, I got emotional watching Ahsoka talking with Mando and I lost my mind with her in the same scene as Luke F****** Skywalker! The Cad Bane intro was PERFECT! When Luke did the flip with the child on his back! I can't believe Dave Filoni gave us so much of what people were expecting in Season 3 of Mando. This episode had so much fan service but I loved every second of it! I don't care about Boba Fett or his Cyberpunk Power Ranger gang just give me more Mando and Grogu! 10/10!!!!

This is literally everything the sequels should’ve been. By the end of Episode 6, Luke was established as wise and focused, keen on reforming the Jedi, protecting the ones he loved, and staying encouraged. In this scene, it perfectly captures that, something the sequels never managed to capture…

Can we just as a community retcon episode 7-9 and pretend that the Mandalorian and book of Boba are the newest adaptations to the Star Wars films. This way we really don't know how Luke Skywalker will become has a Jedi Master, instead of that old grouchy Jedi Master we got in 8-9.

@@peaceunreal4051 They destroyed Luke in the sequel and now they destroyed Boba. I like Mando but so unnecessary. They could make the same with Boba Fett character without this miserable pathetic "baby Yoda"? Why Who asked them to bring "Baby Yoda" in SW universe at all wtf? His character just destroy the whole Skywalker spirit, which should be the most essential in SW universe ever. With Grogu character, now they make a more mysterious Who is he idea.

@@kovblaz1763 I kind of agree on the point that Boba is kind of pushed to side for Mando they should've dedicated more episodes to Mandalorian instead of taking episode of Book of Boba fett I still don't think Boba has the respect of Jabbas old empire yet not until he kills Cad Bane I think the fans need more action out of Boba he just seems withered in his old age

There's a theory floating around d that it's Jocasta Nu who saved Grogu in the temple. She stayed in the temple over the next couple months after its destruction to protect the libraries from the empire and salvagers, etc. Which would give her ample time to smuggle him off planet and such

This episode was AMAZING! As a Star Wars fan that’s caught up with Filoni’s previous works, as well as the Easter eggs and callbacks, I was grinning through most of the episode. Easy 10/10 as a Star Wars episode. But like everyone said, it doesn’t really do anything for Boba as it does for the Star Wars universe. The funniest thing about this review is Joe roasting Boba near the end. Boba shoots someone. Boba: “Oh no, I’m sorry!” “Maybe accidentally.” “Rancor!”

What i liked the most about this episode: the idea that everything is unironically connected: From the Naboo Starfighter used by Anakin Skywalker as a kid, to Ahsoka Tano, who was Anakin's Padawan, to the Training bot for Padawans (Anakin & Qui Gon Jin and Obi Wan / or Luke and Ben Kenobi) to the Training reminiscent of Yoda and Luke training in Dagobah, to the choice scene between Yoda's saber or a Beskar chainmail for a Mandalorian lifepath, Boba Fett's helmet's blaster bump (Cad Bane possible flashback duel?)... ps: the Clones that attack the Jedi Temple are Vader's Fist / 501st clones
