I have been enjoying this season as well. That being said, I think the disconnect and feeling of slowness has come from Din himself. At the beginning of the season, he had a clearly defined goal: go to Mandalore, bathe in the living waters, and become redeemed. In earlier seasons, his goals were also clearly defined. In the first season he needed to keep Grogu away from Moff Gideon, and in the second season, his quest was to find other Mandalorians who would help him reunite Grogu with his people. Since Din completed his quest so early in this season, the feeling of aimlessness and slowness in the plot comes from the fact he doesn’t have another goal, at least a larger, overarching goal. His goals have been simpler and episode-based, like rescuing the foundling from the raptor and helping Greef with the pirates. Other than that, he’s just coasting along, reunited with his people and teaching his son the Way. Bo-Katan is the one with the overarching goals now. Earlier, her implied goal was that she wanted to tame and ride the mythosaur, and now, it’s to reunite the Mandalorian people. She feels like the protagonist of the show now, and Din feels like a supporting character, and I think that adjustment is what is throwing people off. We keep expecting to be following Din but really, we’re following Bo-Katan now. I wonder what’s going to happen in these last few episodes. Will Din get a new goal?

I love that not everything is around Mando because Bo is a fantastic opportunity to keep the show fresh and intriguing. A great character for me is the one that can influence people around him and hi did that from the very first moment. Bo and the Armorer are right now where they are thanks to Mando. I love how the good, the bad and the ugly dynamic make me feel watching these episodes well not a good sense of words but there is always a sense of solemnity when you have Mando, the Armorer and Bo together!

The thing with that is I think it still centers around mando if you look at it like this; Bo honestly wants to rule, she would want the dark saber to do it, and she wouldn’t rule like everyone would want. And so for mando to bring her in he would feel like it’s his fault.

I'm loving the build up to a rebels crossover seeing zeb was awesome!! I don't see how Gideon would have been rescued by Mandalorian since they abandoned Bo for not having the dark Saber, which Gideon also no longer has. I think its a trick by Gideon to pitt the NR against the mandalorians. Loving this season so far can't wait to see what happens.

There were Mandos loyal to the empire from Rebels however I agree with the Gideon theory. Like I said earlier a shard of beskar? what weapon could do that to beskar? If anything a paldran or maybe a gauntlet would be found. A shard? We shall see.

I think Bo removing her helmet is to help get the other mandalorians to follow her to the living waters for the baptism. That way they will be able to see the mythosaur. Also, the people who rescued Gideon have used the beskar that Thrawn own. We have seen that he has turned them into weapons in season 2 and in Boba Fett the armorer said that they don't turn beskar into weapons. The beskar that was scraped onto the wall could be from a weapon not armor.

I think Moff Gideon is using the beskar to frame the Mandalorians, which will cause conflict between them and the New Republic, just as soon as they've established themselves on Navarro. Given that the Empire paid Din with it in season 1, we know that they have their own stock of Beskar, which they stole from Mandalore.

I was thinking the same thing, but would add that it would be uncharacteristically clumsy and sloppy to leave behind glaring evidence of an attack for any Mandalorian.

The armor view point of Bo changed cuz Bo saw the mythosaur. Since the Mythosaur showed its self Bo the Armor must believe she is the chosen one so the helmet rule is over ruled or atleast over looked. It makes complete sense to me not some weird contradictory thing. Edit. I think its building towards them all removing helmets. Its just going to take time for the relgious zealots to change their viewpoints and its going to cause conflict.

I'm hoping that bo ,and Mando come to some sort of agreement Over ruling ,and bo will rule with others that are allowed ro remove their helmets ,and Mando will be lead the military who never remove their helmets thus both sides will be happy.

The Mandalorians could conceivably have taken Gideon to make him pay for what he did, or it's a setup...just because Beskar was found at the scene doesn't mean it's Mandalorians... the Empire had tons of it in their reserve

There was a group of Mandalorian's who joined the Empire in the Rebels animated series. Garr Saxton and certain others worked with the Empire at that time. I think it could possibly be some of them.

Agreed 💯 The Armorer doesn't sit well with me either... She's told Din Bo is a cautionary tale for her past, having blood on her hands and sending Mandalore (the planet) through the drain. Then suddenly a massive 180, all of Bo's past terrorists deeds are instantly forgiven and forgotten because of seeing a mythosaur and saving Paz's kid?? Which she didn't do by herself, just saying. True, she saved Din 3 times, but he also has helped her previously. And if it wasn't for saving him, Bo had never seen that mythosaur at all. Indeed, what a huge dig the Armorer's giving Din. Poor sod... Seems like Paz's looking at Din with disagreement when Bo's send off to unite the Mandolorians, helmetless. Not totally sure, hard to look through a helmet though. And Bo's looking kinda evil at these 2 guys... Btw, love your review. Subbed! 😉💚

The New Republic taking over the Empire can easily be seen as a cautionary tale Taking out the previous "evil" regime is one thing, but if you instill a governing body that is not ready or capable to handle it... it can lead to backslide to the 'old days', even though the Empire is evil... they stil had the Galaxy running in Order and working efficiently

personally i think they are wrong about bo. i mean i think she can help reunite them but with out mando none of this would have happen and the only reason why she even follows the way is because of mando. to me i feel like she is stealing mando's credit and right. plus she only saw the mythosaur, he was dragged underwater by it. i don't know maybe i'm wrong and just like mando more

I'm not buying that a peice of beskar just happened to be left embedded on the ship. As tuff as beskar is for a peice to be stuck in a ship...wtf kinda weapon did that allegded mando up against to do that type of damage?! If anything u'd see a peice of whole armor...paldan..gauntlet maaaybe maybee a helmet. But a shard? hmm. Im thinking its a plant to suspect the Mandos. I guess I am going to be in the minority to say, I didn't care for this ep... it feels like it could have easily been the part 2 of the premiere, and the revelation of what the Armorer says to Bo could have easily been said last ep... this all feels unnecessarily stretched out to get in required checklist action sequence. This ep absolutely had no use for Grogu which continues to prove to me how unnecessary he has been to this season other than "Hey, you like Grogu right, look at his cute face!"
