thank you for explaining and having exercises we can do for carpal tunnel syndrome. My Dr just dispenses pills and sends me to see other costly specialists. When I asked about exercises I could do?....he said there was nothing I could do...Sometimes I think Drs are trained to dispense medication only. So thank you for being there and sharing all that good info with us! Keep up the terrific work. By the way, Thank you for the little magnetic hearts. Was planning to share them but corvid-19 got in the way.

I was waking up several times a night because my hand was going numb and it really hurt. I've already had surgery on my neck twice and I did not want to go through that again so I was pretty much ignoring it. I went on a road trip with my son and I noticed him putting on wrist braces at night. He told me it was for carpal tunnel and when I described what I was going through he said that sounded exactly like what he was going through so the past 6 months I've been sleeping in wrist braces and I can't believe how much it helps. Even if I have carpal tunnel, I really don't want to have surgery, so I'm doing everything I can to put it off. I think I'll try the day band, too!

At first i started with both of legs going numbs, but doctor suspected that it might be my kidney since i tried commit suicide by overdose on medcine. Recently both of my hands does go numbs and i do think its due to my neck because i had a bad habit of cracking my neck, however my differences is that at the tip of my pointing fingers (i do literally mean on my both pointing finger) turned yellow and each movements i make using that particular finger will makes my nails turn white (as if being compressed) regardless in supine or suplex postion. Ive went to the physician and they sent me to do ct scan at my neck, and they said result are normal nothing is wrong with me. But my problem still persist till this day and i dont know where else to turn now i even went as far as to acupunture, body cupping, even to shaman healer none of it work. What do you think on this..?

I wear a wrist splint on both wrists (and hands) that has 3 straps and long flat metal plates in the palms, but I’m sure they aren’t fitting right because they aren’t working very well. I really like the second splint in this video that supports the fingers. As I’ve put in former comments on these videos, I have severe carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands, fingers, and wrists and the pain has gotten so bad very recently that I’ve contemplated going into the emergency room these past few days. I’m at the point to where I need surgery, but I’d love a good support brace until things get set up.

How long(hours on a day) do you wear the first brace you showed and is it to be worn during the daytime or night-time?
@Braceability7 жыл бұрын
Hello! You can find more information on how to wear the Tunnel Tamer here: www.braceability.com/carpal-tunnel-wrist-brace - It is intended to be worn during the day, while doing or after repetitive, wrist flattening activities such as typing on a keyboard, driving, texting, cycling, etc. It can be worn safely all day. If you experience pain or discomfort during extended wear, adjust the tension or remove the finger loops and allow time for your hand to rest before reapplying.

is it possible to reverse carpal tunnel syndrome after having it for almost two years? i am almost 20 and have not gotten any cortisone injections or surgery yet. my hands go through different periods of intense pain to mild but still somewhat always faintly there. however, the pain is usually throbbing the whole day even if i don't do anything with my hands and try to rest them, especially if i go on my phone for even a min (i got CTS from being on my phone too much), but yeah pretty much when i do anything whether it be type, write, text, open things, etc. there is pain. please respond it would be appreciated!

Kim Harris I have the same thing and thought the same as your concern! Mine began during pregnancy and it is devastating not being able to interact with my 16 month old because of the numbness and excruciating pain esp after exertion....
@log7915 жыл бұрын
I think the root cause of the CTS counts a lot. If you have some underlying illness/condition like diabetes and others, it can affect both hands in the same time. However, symmetric overuse of hands (e.g. typing) may affects only one of them (at first...). Not to mention traumatic causes, but that is obvious.

What about Compression Gloves???
@Enigma1788 Жыл бұрын
Avoid them. The key issue with carpal tunnel is compression on that median nerve. What do you think additional compression is going to do to that? Another key problem: half the stuff in your local drug store that claims to be for CTS is actually NOT for CTS. Much of it is made overseas and not open to US regulations regarding false claims. Ace and Copper Fit tend to be really big offenders. If a brace has what is known as a palmar spine (the metal/plastic rod that is palm side, spoon shaped, and runs the length of your wrist) then avoid it. Once again, it's adding more pressure to your median nerve. If a doctor is suggesting such a brace, stay the fuck away from it and maybe find a new doctor while you're at it. Finally, braces are intended for night use when you're sleeping. Do not try to wear one all day. It'll make simple tasks harder, lead to wrist fatigue, and once again add extra pressure/irritation to the nerve in your wrist as you're essentially trying to fight the brace to do various tasks/actions that never had a brace in mind.
