Great video! I have worked this stitch before, but needed a brain nudge! Also your video helped me with the pattern I'm working on now. I"m making a "crocodile " rug for my grandson and I'm going to use this stitch for the body, so I needed to learn how to start with one "scale" and increase from there. Since I'm starting at the tip of the tail up towards the head. Would you have any suggestions for for what stitch to use for the legs and head? Thanks
@mayiannedam76011 жыл бұрын
OMG...I can do it too :-) TY! Even though is was very distracting with the long nails and nailpolish, I still learned it. You rock
@marcysmith948311 жыл бұрын
finally someone who feels like I do, when I'm watching a tut, I find it so distracting when nails are too busy or unkempt, hers are not too bad. I saw a tut where the instructor wore glitter stones & all colors, I couldn't watch tut for watching her nails. I think it's best when you keep nails neat with clear, or maybe a color if it's not too much......well that's just me & you!!!

this takes a large amount of yarn-- to make a full shawl--- a larger hook than suggested makes larger scales, therefore a slightly lighter weight shawl ; though it will still be quite heavy and very warm.. love this stitch and have incorporated it in other projects.
@CrochetwithClare8 жыл бұрын
+Virginia Clough yes you are correct. when you use a thicker yarn and a larger hook it will be a heavier shawl. it does a very pretty project though

I agree with all other comments. This is the clearest and easiest tutorial I've seen for explaining the crocodile stitch! I used it to begin a mermaid blanket for a friend. Can you explain how I can stop increasing the scales once my triangle has reached the desired width but I still need to add length to the blanket? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi finally one I can get a grip on. Can I just make one suggestion. As someone who has a hard time seeing the different shades of color your nails r just beautiful, but having the color so close to the color of the yarn made it a little difficult to see the stitches. I myself wear my nails long so I admire how nice yours r. Just a suggestion. Love the video now I wish I wouldn't have purchased the pattern that lost me. Thank u
