Clare, great tutorial. I prefer beanies that doesn't have the slip stich and the chains each round, don't like the line they leave. I like the chart you made for figuring out the circumference of each beanie. Your tutorials are always easy to follow and just great. TFS 🖒😊💜🌷

In this video you do not join at the end of each round and you will not get a seam. You will get a little jog of stitches when you finish off, but I think it looks much better than a seam going the whole length of a hat

I learned to crochet in September via KZbin videos. Yours are my favorite! I made this beanie for a gift and loved the way it turned out. Now I'd like to make one for myself to match a scarf I did using half-double crochet, but would like a more slouchy look, is there an easy way to convert this, or another tutorial for a slouchy half-double crochet beanie?

So I love your video, iit's very easy to understand and follow. I even learned something today (magic ring) and love it. I only have one question about the calculation for the measuring the head. In the video you said to multiply it by 3.142 but I think it was just an error. In the instructions printout it states to divide it by 3.142.

Hello Lisa, if you are talking about the magic ring, it took me AGES to learn how to do and and months to be comfortable in front of the camera haha You can use an alternative method if you want chain 4, then slip stitch to the very first stitch you made. This will create a little circle. You can crochet into that instead Hope this helps and welcome to the world of crochet !

Hello, all hats start the same, you will keep increasing the same as the video until you the piece you are crocheting is about 7.5 inches across The video shows you how to get the measurement and shows you how to make a hat the size you need it I would suggest watching the video first and then make the hat. That way you will have an idea on the construction of the hat

I hate to be an idiot but...I don't understand the size chart at all. I'm trying to make 12 months - 3 years Hat height = 8" Head Circumference: 18" to 20" Is that inches or cm? Or maybe you could just help a girl out and tell me how many inches across I need for the 12 months to 3 years size? Please?

Its irritating to watch these videos when I try to make something and watch a video and someone crochets too fast I stop the video and then an "error" occurs and won't allow watching the rest of the video. Anyone else have that problem?

Very disappointed in this tutorial. Did what you said and came out nothing like a hat.

+Carlyne Keck what could have happened is instead of making just one stitch i each stitch around once the increases are done to make the sides go up you could have accidentally made an extra stitch somewhere. you could also try just joining after every round instead of using continuous rounds to make the hat. this may help
