Who said anything about it having to be vehicle mounted GPS? There are ways possible. There are GPS devices no larger than a 50 cent coin if people remember what that even is. These ripoff two way radio manufacturers can charge $10,000 per radio so they can come up with new software or a firmware update to track the user if selected in the programming options and not only if transmitting but every so many seconds or so. Amateur radio users can do it with APRS, GPS and other ways for much cheaper and with trash Chinese radios at that. They and everyone else already carries another GPS capable device at all times, their cell phone. There are apps and potential for more to be made. So what is holding everything back? It would help in numerous ways and definitely save many more lives too. Or is it the money that's more important than life safety as usual?

How is it ever smart to get into a firefight, untrained, wielding a probably unmaintained short-range firearm, with a group of people, trained and wileding *professionally* maintained and cleaned military equipment, PPE, and already in formation with unit-wide communications via radio? I cannot stress how lucky this boi is to be alive, as soon as he fired the cops were authorized to end his little charade there and then, permanently. They did the bonus objective, and got a time bonus.

@Jamie Ryan ......No offense .......but here on this planet there definitely is a difference between "smart" and "stupid".....you see Jamie, here we have people called nuclear scientists and aero-space engineers, bio-chemical engineers etc., those people are brilliant, so are the professors in the colleges who teach them. We also have something called Politian's, criminals and people who run in front of angry bulls..........they are all a prime example of the word stupid. So, in comparison, what this young man did was indeed very stupid.
