Bono & Edge in the LAST BUSK Dublin 2018 busking Cmas eve with Glen Hansard

Bono&Edge join Glen Hansard, Imelda May, Mundy, Damian Rice, Liam O Maonlaoi and many great Dublin musicians to busk for the homeless on streets of Dublin.
This is a tradition started by Glen Hansard almost two decades ago to return to busk on Grafton street to collect money for the homeless. Over the years, the extraordinary talent in the Irish rock music scene has joined him on the streets on Christmas eve.
Bono joins in whenever he can, and its a testament to the guy (and his fans) that he can stand in the street and sing without much of a fuss. Usually Bono sings some Christmas hymns and carols and joins the group for one last singsong.

@@FROFilmsIRE Youre welcome, I've been appreciating them since the early days and while I prefer a lot of the earlier stuff they've gained a lot of new and younger fans over the years who prefer the newer stuff. In the old days I never saw young kids at the shows but I have in recent years and it's great. Dublin Croke park last year was unreal, the range of ages made me smile. People might slag them off but they still fill stadiums and make hundreds of thousands of people immensely insanely happy each night. The haters would struggle to do that for one person, too full of malice. I met the edge once when I visited Dublin he's such a humble and genuinely nice person. ❤

Eu concordo que eles são os melhores de todos. Como deve ter notado nos 150 comentários aqui, a maioria dos irlandeses se ressentem de seu sucesso e sofrem de inveja e negatividade em relação a eles - eles só são apreciados propositadamente por vocês que vivem em outros países! Eles têm tudo em termos de letras que tocaram o coração das pessoas, músicas maravilhosas, uma performance de palco e mostram que poucas bandas poderiam se igualar. I'd say if he was here he would say that the busk isn't a competition and not a moment where people try to outdo each other; it is the opposite, it is a level playing field where everyone is at the same level, whether its Bono singing or some of the newer musicians. Finally someone who is talking about him! I'm Italian and unfortunately in my country he is not so famous. In my opinion he's one of the greatest artists that last now. I feel very lucky because on April (on my birthday) I'm going to see him in concert in Dublin. I've never been in Ireland but I've always felt like it's my place. wayne thompson Wayne good for you for supporting homeless people. There are a few homeless people where I live and I have learned a lot from chatting to them over the years. I find more than anything else, the chat is more important to them, it makes them feel valued, respected and connected once again. Sone of them tell me the worst pain is the loneliness. People walking by avoiding them and not making eye contact, never mind not taking to them can be soul destroying, so a quick five minute chat can be life changing for them. F
