Installed my Borla S-Type Axle Back. Sound clips includes stock exhaust, no muffler and with the Borla S-Type Axle Back.

Oh ok is that why when I'm driving just around town I feel like a loss of power but on Highway etc all the power is back..

Why you didn't take the resonator off and replace it with an X pipe ? It probably would be a bit loud ?

Its a lease so there is only so much I can do. When the lease is over I will remove the Borla and reinstall the OE exhaust.

I leased mine as well. I am debating doing the same as you here. I put a CAI in mine and did some plasti-dip. Since I can peal it off. I want to get a cat back system for it, if anything just the muffler just like you. Looking at the same muffler. Looks to be the least restrictive. Or maybe a muffler delete. I also got a CAI and SCT tuner from Jannetty racing who put a mild tune on it to take AFM out of it and change the shift speed. That made a world of difference with that tune. I am planning on buying it at the end of the lease, so not that worried about it. Got a video of mine up. Going to start taking some more videos and adding to the channel.

Video kinda hard to tell... But is it much louder? Or is it worth just getting the atak?

The exhaust sounds louder and deeper now compared to when it was first installed. The Atak will give you more of a raspy louder sound. I am happy with the S-type.

Drone..? I’m sure by now, you’ve realized though, that the stock rear muffler on the 6th gen is huge, for all V8 models, unlike the 5th gen, which mainly only had the suitcase resonator for the automatic L99 engine variants. Even then, my friend with a muffler delete on his stock 5th gen L99, sounds much louder than my stock 5th gen LS3. But the 6th gen LT1 sounds louder all around with any sort of axleback and/or catback.

If the car goes into 4 cylinder mode (AFM) it has major drone. I use a Range Device that keeps it in 8 cylinder mode all the time, very little drone.

what is afm mode?

AFM Stand for Active Fuel Management. Under certain conditions the car will go into 4 cylinder mode for better fuel economy. A Range Device will make the car always stay in V8 mode.

Yeah tuned that out of mine as soon as I got it. Hate AFM.

@@djgoodot I picked up a handheld tuner and a custom tune. I had the SCT X4 and got a Custom Tune for the Camaro. I believe even the base built in tunes include options for disabling AFM
