Stephen a Smith is a casual boxing fan that gets an opportunity to express his opinion on TV anytime you say Floyd Mayweather Is the best Fighter ever defensively He’s one of the best ever however because of evolution and change you can’t compare fighters from different times you can’t compare Willie pep to Floyd Mayweather or Sugar Ray Leonard Etc.

@boxingguru100 Totally understand that, the reason I said he was in league with Whittaker and Niccolino Loche. Pep is usually regarded as the greatest defensive boxer of all time BUT he and Whitaker and Loche avoided shots and Mayweather defended off the ropes as well as from inside the "shell" Like you said different eras and different game.

boxinginfo I agree with you I was just saying about Stephen a Smith he doesn’t have the knowledge of the history of the sport in my opinion to be commenting on boxing no mainstream sports media other than Max Kellerman in my opinion knows anything about boxing or combat sports in general

Stephen A's a joke. Second only to Skip Bayless. I would've liked to have seen Mayweather put a stronger effort into the fight from the beginning. I think he probably settled for just good enough in training. Obviously, a consistent walk down strategy is awkward to him but, by his standards, it seemed a little half assed to me. Admittedly, I shouldn't have been expecting the same guy that beat up Victor Ortiz. The thing that surprised me the most was McGregor's lack of technique just in generating leverage into his punches. Floyd took shots from Mosley, Cotto and Canelo so I didn't really think he'd get hurt but Conor could punch a lot harder than he does. Obviously that's harder to do in MMA where you can't plant your feet as much(otherwise you can't defend against leg kicks and takedowns).

@Daniel Turin I agree and something I forgot to point out in the video that I caught when watching the fight the one time I did was that McGregor's corner was not prepared for the one minute breaks. I don't think I once saw them pull the "cup" away from him while he was sitting can't remember if they had ice on the back of his neck-all things that may have slowed the fatigue factor down.
