Hagler ,Hearns, Leonard and Duran all legends in their own ways. Leonard gave Duran his famous wind up punch, Duran’s feet came off the floor and when he came back down he’s still in his defensive position. That was a hell of fight, all these guys were crazy good.

Chavez was always hyped by my dad but after being a consistent fan of boxing for the past years he really was a warrior. Unfortunately, when he started fighting internationally and for titles he was already worn and torn but definitely sent chills down his opponents backs when placing there name against Julio Cesar Chavez Sr.

I’ll never forget my first fight in Gikden Gloves. I had fights but they were with kids my age and now I was 16 facing an early 20s fighter. I was so nervous and the. He hit me clean and the crowd made an “Ooh” noise. I snapped and stuck my tongue out and jumped on him. I dominated the fight as soon as I realized he didn’t like combinations

Meldrick Taylor was robbed in the worst way possible. In fact, that fight ruined his career and... Something happened in the middle cause, he went under a spiral on some brain injuries when the guy was completely healthy. As for Sugar Ray Leonard, he was amazing as a boxer, but also used a lot of speed punches to gain points on fights were he was being overwhelmed. Like against Hagler.

The only thing I have a problem with is Taylor vs Chavez. He, in every world won that fight and it took his prime from him. He should have been awarded the win. I never loved Richard Steel. It’s okay to stop a fight, but when lights are flashing, give the guy a second. It was over, and he won the fight. Taylor of course.

Taylor never responded to the ref in the Chavez fight. It was on him or he was too far out of it. Ref gave him the chance to respond looking him in the eyes and Meldrick did nothing, said nothing, no step forward gloves up..... what else was the ref to do. Sucks that it was the last round with less than 10 to go but it's boxing.

That Castillo vs Corrales footage has been used time and time again by you tubers as one of the greatest comebacks in boxing history when in fact it was one of the greatest acts of cowardice and cheating in boxing history, up there with the Luis Resto padding of gloves. Corrales was allowed to spit out his mouth piece on purpose 3 times without being disqualified after the 2nd time he did that. It was also the greatest act of referee ineptitude by this so called boxing referee tony weeks (with low case letters!

@@martindunstan8043 Not much difference with Femi as the "stoppage" (Femi's corner were CLEARLY waving the towel helicopter fashion) was in the final seconds of the final round BUT Usyk was forced to fight for 3 whole extra rounds v Fury as the stoppage should have come in the 9th. In MY book if you have to work a longer length of time for the SAME money then that is a pay cut.

Aside from that can you not see the negative implications & possible consequences that could arise from referees deciding to ignore a towel? A blind man on a galloping horse can see that the ref was given a brown envelope to ensure he gave preferential treatment to Femi. If YOU are okay with that then you CANNOT call yourself a boxing fan. Best regards

He never responded to the ref. If he was mentally in it then he made a huge mistake. Watch again. Ref gives him the chance to step forward and put his gloves up and Meldrick just looks around dazed. What else was the ref to do. If it went to the judges and JCC won then it's a robbery. It's either he was out on his feet or is an idiot. Pick your poison.
