@YThates
@YThates Жыл бұрын
In this case it wasn't incestuous at all thankfully. I get that "emotional incest" is a hot word in the topic of parasitic parents who are overly attached to their kids but incest itself is a very direct and descript word that is commonly used incorrectly and way too flexible nowadays...and I'm glad Boze didn't do that in this video cause it'd be misinforming psychologically speaking and physically speaking. In the videos I've seen so far Boze has done well to describe emotionally incestuous parents really well and not exaggerate the severity of a parent's attachment to their kids. Wanting to be noticed and close to their kids as some form of escapism in itself does not automatically make the parent become incestuous or emotionally incestuous. It's much deeper than that and very traumatizing experience for their child.

Understandably I know how some people cannot separate the times like how treating your teacher outside of school as a friend then in school- your teacher is your teacher, with respect.)- but I also understand how other parent-child relationships are and how they work too, everything has a pro and con of course but doing our best regardless 👍👍👍💗💗 cheering you guys on!!! David Pelzer (child called it, the lost boy, and a man named Dave is the series) was not lying. My mother was extremely mentally damaged and had to spend A LOT of time in the nut hut when she wasn't torturing me. I related a lot with Dave's books even though now as a parent I know she did her best and was still LIGHT YEARS better than her parents/childhood. Anyway, she ended up in an institution with Dave for months. She had severe DID (called MPD back then) and no one could "fix" her or even agree on how to proceed. I think the hospital where she met Dave was the most helpful and helped her get "integrated" mostly. She's dead now, but I've seen letter between her and Dave and she wrote about him in her journal at the time. This was before he blew up and the books were even published I believe so when she saw the book on Oprah she bought it for me and told me about Dave. I would LOVE to see a deep dive on Mr. Pelzer. I've thought of writing my own book and been told to for years but I had to wait for her to pass out of respect for her.

@BrookeKatherine. I know because I know what chlorine gas does to the human body. I also know what the other chemicals he makes claims to having been forced to swallow and so forth would do to a human body. That's not even to mention the alleged stab to the stomach. Dave probably did suffer abuse to some degree but I'd be willing to bet all 4 limbs that the more extreme claims are a lie. He'd have extreme permanent physical damage from a lot of the things he claims.

Enmeshment is a REAL thing 😢 Parents need to let their kids have their own life, their own choices, their own opinions, their own identity....when this doesn't happen, the adult child becomes infantalized, they get their identity and validation through others and their parents....it's just a recipe for disaster. (I know from personal experience). I am 43 and at 38 I FINALLY got out of an abusive marriage and started finding out who the HELL I was, who I wanted to be. I truly feel like I'm in my early 20's, learning life for myself. It's odd to have spent the majority of my life feeling like a child masquerading in an adult body. I still have remnants of that. And my parents didn't smother me, per se, I'd actually say the enmeshment was more neglectful....they didn't prepare me for adulthood (saying no, having boundaries, teaching me about college, encouraging me to move out, how to work a checkbook, bank account, budgeting, how to find out who I was or who I wanted to be, how to look out for abusive/toxic/manipulative people, etc. ) I was taught to be codependent, and was pretty much prepped to marry an abuser 😢 It's so hard. I feel so bad for other people who've had to crawl their way through confusing family dynamics like this and learn on their own how to heal so they can break free!!! ❤

I had the same conversion with my 16 year old daughter this morning - that you feel if you’re a good person then nobody would want to hurt you. It’s always hard when that world view is shattered. Yesterday morning a beautiful 15 year old girl was stabbed to death on her way to school. She didn’t do anything wrong - her friends ex boyfriend was begging her to come back to him and when the friend didn’t want to, an argument ensued. The 15 year old girl stepped between them to try to calm things down for her friend and the ex boyfriend turned round and stabbed her in the neck. The only thing that she did was try to help her friend and calm things down and this evil boy stole her life. It’s heartbreaking when people end up being killed while trying to be a good person 😢

I've consistently heard the more guilty a person is, or the more likely they are guilty, the more they'll say in order to convince you they're not. Some people do tend to nervously ramble, but in a criminal investigation, it's usually a sign someone isn't anywhere near as innocent as they want you to believe. I'm no psychologist or investigator; just repeating something I've heard them say.

I’ve read a lot of articles about this case and I don’t know how reliable some of these sources are. But I’ve read that it wasn’t the first time the guy was blackmailing and stalking women. The mom also had an affair prior to this one. I think she should’ve told her husband, try to work on her relationship with her husband, maybe hire a PR specialist to repair her and Mays image and not drag her daughter into this mess. However I don’t think he would stop and I genuinely think he would’ve made those revenge photos public, which may have ruined Mays career, since she showed a lot of her moms life and she was publicly tied to her. Overall I’m only sorry for Hashim, he was the only innocent victim

I've always been told, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions." My mom has always gone out of her way to help people, even when they didn't deserve it. She had some stuff happen to her that shouldn't happen to anyone, at the hands of someone she loved. She has never let it stop her from helping others, but it definitely affects her. I knew something had happened to give her ptsd but I was too young to know what it was for a long time. I was still raised religiously, but I was also taught to protect myself and to be very mindful of situations that could hurt me way more than it would help someone else. I think it's good to make sure people know that being a good person doesn't mean you can't get hurt. It also makes people feel like maybe it was their fault, that they just weren't good enough. Watch your backs guys, but still try to be kind and helpful to others ❤

My mom had me when she was 17yrs old and she is absolutely my best friend. I see her almost every day. All that being said my mother has never once tried to tag along with me and my friends as I was growing up. There has to be a line *somewhere* . It's *extremely* selfish of the mother in this situation to try and reclaim her lost youth at the expense of her daughter.

i’m so confused as to why they just didn’t go to police when the ex boyfriend started harassing them and threatening to leak intimate pictures and demanding money cause i’m sure that’s bad enough that police would do something about it… it’s always a mystery to me why people like this choose to do things that will make the situation worse for everyone, including murder, instead of just admitting to their mistakes and try to resolve things in a semi-pacific way.

Maybe he threatened to tell her husband because he found out she was married and was heartbroken. He only wanted his money back..so maybe that's what it was. For an 18-21 year old, it's a lot. She was also scared that her husband was gonna find out. If she called the cops, the info would be out. She was scared her marriage that SHE RUINED would be ruined.

Never trust an 18 year old’s blackmail threats. She couldve avoided alot of jail if she just told his mommy how he was behaving. Killing is just….way too far.

How is the blackmail a bad thing he wasn’t going to expose her to the internet it was to send to the husband after finding out she had a husband and was heart broken so he asked for the money he spent on her in those 3 years, he was going to expose the affair to the husband which is a very normal thing, plus her in her 50 grooming a 18 year old
@lisele39
@lisele39 Жыл бұрын
@@GggG-tb1mx 2 things can be right at the same time. Blackmailing someone is always wrong, the same goes for ending someone’s life. He knew she was married, he only cared about “ exposing “ her until she stopped talking to him. He never cared about telling the husband the truth, he was only using that threat as a way to get her to speak to him. They deserve to be locked up for life but blackmailing someone is never ok or justified
@GggG-tb1mx
@GggG-tb1mx Жыл бұрын
@@lisele39 so when are you going to take into consideration the fact a 50 year old women groomed a highschool student, is it only grooming if it’s a old man going after 18 year old kid
@lisele39
@lisele39 Жыл бұрын
@@GggG-tb1mx you assumed I didn’t consider that why? I watched the whole video. Again multiple things can be true at the same time, both women deserve to be locked up for as long as possible and blackmailing is still never justified but that doesn’t mean he deserved to be killed. All of those things are true.
