@@Mr-ms2qo The Bible tells us God exists as 3 separate beings. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is who came to be with mankind to teach us about God after Jesus was killed on the cross and resurrected. The Holy Spirit is “The Word of God” who was from the beginning and now lives among us to teach us about himself. This is also why we call the Bible, the “Word of God.” If you’re willing to listen, he will speak to you as well. “Be still and know that I am God.” - Psalms 46:10.

@@JT.common_sense I think the most applicable verse is John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, & the life. No one comes to the FATHER except through ME. JESUS is the only way to Heaven [the FATHER], all the other religions do not lead to Heaven but the Broadway to Hell. That is the offense of the Cross of CHRIST. Paul Harvey is wrong in lumping Allah & all the other religions as the same way.. JESUS' peace HE offers is forgiveness of sins & a rebirth to be spiritually alive to desire to please GOD again. Not something we can do without HIM as our KING & constant SAVIOUR, because as we are we're #selfish which is the cause of our quarrels per James 4:1-3: Why do you quarrel & fight? It is because your feelings are fighting inside of you. You want something but you cannot get.

This is an amazing piece. I remember listening to Paul Harvey since I was a kid in 60's and 70's. Even if I didn't completely agree with him I always found him to be a serious an independent thinker. I consider myself to be a person of but when I listen to this it does help remind me that all of our different religions are cubicles that we too often don't look over the dividers of. He also had a wonderful piece called God made a Dictator. The first 95% of that he talks about God making a dictator. At the very end, he says that God made that dictator to challenge us, to test our senses of decency. If ever we needed these inspirational words from Paul harvey, we need these words now more than ever!

I disagree, I felt I learned from another persons perspective. I could challenge the Bible was written by intellectualists. If you study humans throughout history, and the migration patterns of humans, humans have been here a lot longer than the Bible. And they snuffed out paganism which actually ties into Christianity so much. But you don’t know unless you grant yourself your humanitarian right to challenge your own beliefs.

@@BradDison This is not Biblical, if you are not a Christian - a disciple of Jesus Christ, I understand your ignorance, but if you declare yourself a Christian, repent of having created a concept that does not come from God. It is correct that the great commandment is “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strenght.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’- Matthew 22:37-39. However, this concept of “love” that you are spreading is false and ecumenical. Scripture instructs us to love one another, but that does not mean that everything is acceptable and should be compromise. 1 John 2:15-17 ”Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” James 4:4 “Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.”

Yeah, all these wars fought in HIS name.........still makes me heavy in the heart, hanging my head.... It took me A VERY LONG TIME to realize I cannot change, nor stop this. I can only change myself, and pray for the best! I once posted, word for word (handwritten) "If I were the devil", pinned it up on the laundry room bulletin board, but they took it down. Expected, I guess. Do I dare post this? Thanks, Brad, for putting it in your pinned comment.

I was going to edit the first comment, but, meh, no law broken here. Holding the torch high for all to see and passing it forward is noblest thing one can do in life. Thank you, Mr. Harvey. Thank you, Mr. Dison. When history teacher's in high school start assigning you for homework, we (YOU) will really have something happening!!!!

No need to edit your comment. It sounded great to me. It's interesting to know that the way we believe is passed on to the next generation as it was between us and our parents, them and their parents, and back through the generations. If we break that link and fail to pass it on to the next generation, it could take generations to right itself. :)

Thats a lie! Jesus words are very well documented within thousands of manuscripts dating back to the time of the Apostles. We have His Word. He is The Word made flesh. Do you honestly believe The Almighty cannot preserve His Word? Furthermore we also know His Word to be True because The Holy Spirit enables us to know His Voice. Anything outside of those facts comes directly from satan, the deceiver and father of lies from the beginning!

My fondus memory of Paul, was the story of a elementary school losing power and the kids had lunch, and one boy stated that it was the first time they had an actual home cooked meal at school. Nothing like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Back in the sixties I remember getting ready for school while my mom was getting ready for work, the radio was playing on the huge radio/sterio cabinet in the living room. And then Paul Harvey would come on. We'd both stop and listen (And usually laugh at the end). Then continue rushing around to get ready. Off topic, but it reminded me, how many remember listening/watching on TV for school closings. I swear you always had to watch that whole long lust 4-5 time between the commercials right before your schools letter, (it would keep going during the ad), or your mom yelling to keep getting ready in case it was open. And the last time was to show your mom that it really was there.

I remember listening to him on the radio when I was a kid. In the 80s we only had regular AM/FM radio, so you had no choice but to listen to commercials, and listen to the stuff your parents/grandparents/aunts or uncles would be listening to for the most part. We weren’t allowed to change the station in the car, or the kitchen, or the family room etc. I remember Paul Harvey used to come on everyday at noon, to tell “the rest of the story”… even at a young age I found his stories very interesting and thought provoking. He was truly a national treasure ❤

Paul Harvey was a brilliant man. Nobody has ever came close to filling his shoes. Well, ok, maybe except Keith Morrison of Dateline. I grew up with Paul's stories and even as a young child, enjoyed them immensley. Its like when Paul Harvey came on air, everybody stopped to listen intently. It wasnt until the internet came about, that I found out what he really looked like. It was nothing like I had imagined over all those years. My childhood was blessed to have him in it!💜
