This was the first Gamera film I ever saw. I found it one Saturday night one Creature Feature. I fell in love with the entire idea of idea of the flying turtle. Next I saw Gamera vs Guiron, and I loved the creature Guiron. Since I was just a little older than the 'Kennys' I guess that helped.

Cool story! The design of Gamera is pretty unique imo, it's both silly and serious at the same time. The earlier movies definitely hammed it up but they had charm and heart, and didn't take things too serious, it was an adventure. The later movies were more serious with a more realistic and edgy tone/ aesthetic which looks really cool.

we met the American kid from this movie at a convention this weekend - was a very interesting story of how he got into the movie, was a star in Japan briefly, and how he had a very hard time finding a copy of the movie after coming back to America! (this was one of the Gamera movies that Sandy Frank never released)

Damn they should have released this one first, what was Sandy Frank thinking? This one is probably the most accessible for American audiences. it has mischeif making kids (inlcuding an american boy), it has a scout group, a cool submarine, it moves along at a decent pace for a Gamera movie. and Guiron has one of the best kills ever when he chops up the Gyaos.

Joel Hodgson recently announced that he wishes to reboot Mystery Science Theater 3000 with an all new cast, I know who should be the new Joel/Mike: Brandon Tenold!!! Think about it he would be perfect, he clearly loves the old series, has a great sense of referential humor, does deadpan perfectly. I'm not kidding with this I think we should start a letter writing campaign to Joel suggesting Brandon as the new host of MST3K, I think it would be perfect.

Yes, the word itself is being used to describe something, which is usually the job of an adjective, but notice how grammatically it's being used. Adjectives don't have a plural equivalent because they're traits, not things, like "annoying" or "painful," (since when have you heard the words "annoyings" or "painfuls" in a sentence?) while nouns, like "dumbass" or "menace" do have a plural equivalent ("dumbasses" or "menaces"). Kenny is referring to a thing, and should have a plural equivalent because of that. Because of this it would be a noun. By the way, love the name.
