Craig, stop getting frustrated - your progress so far has been immense so always remember that! I think you're a real natural for this sport - take training one day at a time, have fun and think of the long term. Great video as always - some really useful advice in regards to the Snatch so thank you!

Hey Rich! Thanks to you and a few others I have just joint the crossfit box in my city. I had been doing it for a few months at Golds gym but didn't want to join the box cause I figured I wouldn't do as well as Id like but watching your vlogs showed me that I could do it and to "just enjoy it" so thanks to you and everyone on the channel!

Craig I do intervals on the bike all the time and I mentioned this when u first got ur air bike.. to keep urself in the workout the whole time u have to break it up... last time I got 198 and I broke it up by keeping the rpm's at 73-76 for 25seconds and then at 65-67for 35 seconds until the ninth minute then keep it above 70 the whole minute! And have someone there to push u.... first time I did it like u did I only got 161 then did it week later with my coach giving me intervals to follow for the 10 min and got 181 just 7 days later! Great video love ur channel the most

OMG the sheets of paper! its been so long. Doing snatch pulls would help clean up that issue with your chest not leading the 1st pull... My oly coach says pulls are like vegetables, if you want to get stronger you have to eat your veggies.

Wow, we have the same snatch ~ that is everything right and Wrong with mine. Power in the hip coupled with power in the pull through the shoulders/traps - harder than it looks.

Hey Craig what advice would you have for starting vlogging and what program do you use to get your music onto your videos coz I know spotify doesn't let you do it😒
@BravoMx8 жыл бұрын
Tip 1: dont wear a lifting belt for snatches. Tip 2: focus your training on going down on the snatch and stablity (snatch balance and OH squats with snatch grip) Tip 3: ankle mobility is important so start using oly shoes. Tip 4: you dont have the same proportions as a chinese oly lifter...dont compare yourself to him. Tip 5: your butt is to low on your staring position (what sunny said) Tip 6: I cant tell from this angle but I think your feet are to close together and toes should be pointing away from each other not parallel. Tip 7: Hugg more puppies. Luck mate.

you just keep jumping forward instead of jumping backwards, also you do the "pole dancing" movement lol in which your butt goes higher first instead of driving the bar towards your hips first
@bachiedj8 жыл бұрын
You're snatching 100kg at what bodyweight? If you bring your head forward on the receiving position your traps will activate easier. Pull on the first pull with your legs not your back. Still. I can't manage that load so congrats.

The Chinese lifter has very different anthropometrics than yours. Be cautious about comparing your lifting to 1) high-level lifters and 2) men with very different levers than yours. Elite national and international-class lifters have honed techniques over many years and thousands of reps and usually incorporate idiosyncrasies into their technique - a natural progression in technique over time. Stick to the basics, learn to squat and pull well and where the bar belongs overhead in the snatch and the jerk. Those alone will take time and lots of reps with good coaching. Good luck!!
@182Cayetano8 жыл бұрын
You should buy a pair of lifters
