Not related to this, but going off the live chat. Maybe you should watch dr. Peter Rogers 30 point checklist on how meat helps cancers grow. Not all data on meat is confounded, do you really think the WHO would mark it as carcinogen if there wasn't a problem? Besides the high protein count of meat, it also has a lot of fat making our blood thick and our blood cells rigid.

@@11235Aodh Peter Rodgers doesn't give viewers studies to go check out for ourselves. Here's 10 studies showing 1 molecule found in red meat having anti-cancer effects... Anti cancer promoters: meat and milk of ruminant animals Here is a summary of ten research studies on the anti-cancer benefits of trans-vaccenic acid (TVA), a naturally occurring trans fatty acid found primarily in ruminant-derived foods 1. **"Trans-vaccenic acid reprograms CD8+ T cells and anti-tumor immunity"** by Bose et al. (2023) - This study found that TVA improves the ability of CD8+ T cells to infiltrate tumors and kill cancer cells. Patients with higher levels of TVA in their blood responded better to immunotherapy, suggesting TVA could be a nutritional supplement to complement cancer treatments. 2. **"Trans-11 Vaccenic Acid Has Anticarcinogenic Properties in Experimental Models"** by Banni et al. (2001) - The researchers demonstrated that TVA inhibited the growth of mammary tumors in rats, indicating potential anticancer effects. 3. **"Vaccenic Acid Feeding Increases Tissue Levels of Conjugated Linoleic Acid and Suppresses Development of Premalignant Lesions in Rat Mammary Gland"** by Lock et al. (2004) - This study showed that dietary TVA increased conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) levels in rat tissues and reduced the development of precancerous lesions in the mammary gland. 4. **"Trans-11 Vaccenic Acid Reduces the Risk for Experimental Colitis in Mice"** by Jaudszus et al. (2012) - The authors found that TVA supplementation reduced inflammation and the risk of colitis in a mouse model, suggesting potential benefits for gut health and cancer prevention. 5. **"Vaccenic Acid and trans Fatty Acid Isomers from Partially Hydrogenated Oil Both Adversely Affect LDL Cholesterol: A Double-Blind, Randomized Controlled Trial"** by Gebauer et al. (2015) - While this study found that both natural TVA and industrial trans fats increased LDL cholesterol, it highlights the need to distinguish between these sources when considering health effects. 6. **"Trans-Vaccenic Acid Is Converted to Conjugated Linoleic Acid in Mice"** by Santora et al. (2000) - The researchers showed that TVA is converted to CLA in mouse tissues, which may contribute to its potential anti-cancer benefits. 7. **"Trans-Vaccenic Acid Is Desaturated to Conjugated Linoleic Acid in Mice"** by Turpeinen et al. (2002) - This study confirmed that TVA is converted to CLA in mouse tissues, supporting the potential health benefits of TVA through its metabolic conversion. 8. **"Trans-11 Vaccenic Acid Reduces Hepatic Lipogenesis and Chylomicron Secretion in JCR:LA-cp Rats"** by Wang et al. (2008) - The authors demonstrated that TVA reduced liver fat synthesis and the secretion of lipid-carrying particles in a rat model of metabolic syndrome, which may have implications for cancer prevention. 9. **"Comparison of Conjugated Linoleic Acid and Vaccenic Acid in Milk Fat of Sheep, Goats, and Buffaloes"** by Mele et al. (2009) - This study analyzed the TVA and CLA content in milk from different ruminant species, providing insights into the variability of these potentially anti-cancer fatty acids in dairy products. 10. **"Trans-Vaccenic Acid Has a Higher Bioavailability than cis-Vaccenic Acid in the Rat"** by Chardigny et al. (2003) - The researchers found that TVA had a higher bioavailability compared to its cis isomer, suggesting that it may be more effectively absorbed and utilized by the body for potential health benefits. These studies collectively suggest that TVA, a naturally occurring trans fatty acid found primarily in ruminant-derived foods, may have anti-cancer properties related to immune function, tumor suppression, and metabolic conversion to CLA

So even if a supplement is only 1% bio available then a 500 μg supplement would be 5 μg Available which is more than twice a serving of red meat. Context is everything. If your concerned about b12 levels a supplement is the obvious choice! 🙏🖖

Also 33% of meat eater are still b12 deficient cause in animal products, vitamin B12 is attached to a protein, and as people get older, production of the stomach acid that can split this complex of vitamin B12 and protein diminishes.

I thought the common knowledge was that the b12 in seaweed is an analogue which can stop your ability to absorb active b12? Id rather not ruin my genetics by taking b12 supplements, id rather do the opposite and push my genetics to be more efficient with the b12 it has.. but dr greger stresses that its VITAL that we take b12? It bothers me that i feel like the only person who thinks not just about my own health but also my future generations, do we really want to evolve to rely on labs for b12 supplements? Or do we want to evolve naturally.. this has been the hardest part about being vegan for me, it bothers me so much.. i feel irresponsible as someone with strong healthy genetics, especially taking information from a bald guy with glasses who probably looked 50 when he was 20.. i feel like the only person that is so bothered by something so fundamental. He even says we need to take 1000mcg a day after 65.. i follow his recommendations.. but it really does sicken me to the core
@JohnDoe-xk1dv6 ай бұрын
He's making sure people with direct absorption problems and/or other relevant prexisting conditions are covered - as Dr M himself points out in this talk. Most people need not worry, if they just take occasional supplementation, and/or fortified foods. It's sad we have to supplement, but that's because we can't drink steam and river water (now polluted) that contains the B12 bacteria. Also, less likely, but perhaps, also over sanitation of fresh and frozen produce today. The very fact we need such a small amount, compared to carbohydrate, protein and even fat levels, suggests we did evolve/were created in a vit B12 poor environment. E.g. a whole food places based/starch dominant environment :)

This is the difference between being plant exclusive or vegan. You have a mental illness to be thinking the way you do. Get rid of the processed crap and see the difference. As chef AJ says, you're majoring in minor things. Needing to take a supplement to prevent irreversible brain damage is nothing in the scheme of things. Dr. Greger also likely looks the way he does because of genetics. You really need to improve your outlook. Your negativity is horrendous.
