I love that Dr. McDougall will say, "I don't know." It shows self-awareness and integrity.

Keep preaching Dr. M., l'm no big celeb....but l know eating starch and my rice and potatoes are good for me....as simple as that for sure. I can't eat all that rich foods that the Kings and Queens eat....it doesn't make me feel good. Folks may continue to, but there comes a time they may feel and see the light

Great lecture as usual. Happy Birthday eve Doctor McDougall. Here in India it's 16th May. Have a glorious birthday and year. You havd benefited so many, me included. In fact, I am writing a book on exefcise and diet ( I am a 67 year old Indian lady) and much beholdden to you for showing the way to a starchbased vegan diet, less oil. I was already a rice eating vegetarian. And in 2021, after hearing you on KZbin, I removed dairy and extra oil. Now I run and coach tennis effortlessly at 67. No supplements, except for B12 once a week.Cheers to the McDougall diet!

Thank you again. Regarding persistent UTI many years ago I read of a theory claiming high heels were linked to it. It seems wearing high heels causes a tilt in the pelvis and slight change in the position of the organs resulting in incomplete voiding of the the urinary system, some urine remains after visiting the washroom and in the long term leads to infection. .

For the lady who is concerned about her cholesterol eating the Macdougall * diet being at 2:40 I know that in the past videos, Dr. Macdougall * has talked about coffee causing increased cholesterol and I’m not sure if that lady is drinking coffee but if she is, it might help lower her numbers if that makes her feel better

The reasons I can’t do potatoes that no one seems to relate to. All sweet potato varieties give me heartburn. White potatoes I taste mold all too frequently, which disgusts me. I get tired of trying to find and cut out the mold.

Why do t you just ask your produce man for some advice on storing them better?
@fruityfitnatic72386 ай бұрын
@@andreafong9952 It’s even if I just purchased them or if I eat out too. I’m so sensitive to mold, how it smells and tastes. Potatoes notoriously have black spots inside them. I can’t stand it. Maybe I’m an odd one.

I’d love to know about your thoughts of copper iron magnesium axis and how most of us are tissue overloaded w iron and show anemic - and we need copper to move the iron recycling in the body. Morley Robbins has great videos on that. He also is not a fan of vitamin D as a deficiency is usually root causes by a lack of vitamin A retinol most available from cod liver oil. Fascinating research, would love your thoughts. Also. Opinion of how glyphosate poisoned grains fit into how we process or cant certain minerals/ raw materials and get sick. ❤

Hi Dr. McDougall and Mary and Heather, I have a question about kidney disease. My numbers has steadily gone down from 8083 to 78 just recently and I’m concerned about kidney disease as I am a type two diabetic. What can I eat and follow to preserve my kidney function, I have been diabetic and McDougall not strictly apparently for the last four years when I first started the diet I was losing weight really rapidly and then all of a sudden my kidney numbers went up and I start. I was eating oil. I believe it was the major contributor so I stopped all oil and I’m slowly but surely surely sticking with the diet 100% What do I need to do to improve my kidney function?

The reason that people who are eating the SAD don't get it, like Oprah Winfrey, is that we have grown accustomed to getting things quickly. We want the quick solution. We are not willing to put in the work or the time. We have become a society who is constantly looking for something to make us happy. Our taste buds do that for us when we are eating the sugary, fat, SAD. It's not rocket science! We have just become lazy!
