@@jrs9264, agreed! They’ve ruined cars, motorcycles, everything for decades. When you have a detuned, California CARB version of an IROC-Z or TransAm, you know California has gone too far. There are so many higher priority items to keeping the environment clean and using what technologies we have on hand to better recycle and retask petroleum products (carbon fiber chains, plastics, etc) so we don’t do as much actual harm. As for Carbon Dioxide, we’re already at an atmospheric CO2 content under 0.6%. Any lower, and massive swaths of forests and sea algae die off, ruining the CO2-Oxygen photosynthesis cycle. It makes me wonder if any of these politicians spent time on Biosphere 2 down in Arizona.

I have a home in Castle Rock, CO. Every day many long trains with coal cars pass through the town on their way to the Comanche coal fired power plant in Pueblo, CO. We like to joke about the "Tesla fuel" they carry. This plant is huge, supplying much of the Front Range with electricity. The hypocrisy is unbelievable!

Just so you know, California is an absolutely beautiful state, and a LOT of good, strong American Patriots here. Couldn't agree more that Newscum needs to go. We worked hard to get rid of him on two recall efforts. Those failed for a number of reasons, but cheating and corruption were definitely contributing factors. Anyway, hopefully Trump and his dream team will be able to get some of this mess over turned, and thrown out.

You can buy and register your RV in Montana. No sales tax, no property tax, and minimal registration fees. No CARB. Now that pickups are closing in on $100k, this may be an option for pickups and other luxury vehicles. Imagine how much you'd save on sales tax alone. It'll pay for your fuel for a long time.

Actually you are wrong, it was the Legislative Branch (Congress) which provided California with a waiver which provides them the authority to regulate their own emission program. As per the other states. Again Congress signed a bill which allows states to voluntarily keep the Federal or adopt California emission standards. So tell me what part is unconstitutional? You also forgot to mention CARB provided these rules back in 2020 and the auto, truck, bus etc OEM’s planed and delivered. The RV industry was also aware but they didn’t innovate at all. Instead they thought people like you would be able to get an exemption from the program. In summary all you are doing is trying to save your butt by spreading misinformation. Hope you’re proud.

Just read all about it. You can still buy a used RV with over 7500 miles. And, for new ones, the manufacturer can buy credits from another mfgr that makes zero-emission RVs. Workaround -- a small company like Chinook RV can produce an electric RV, even if nobody buys it, and then sell credits to the other mfgrs, like Thor, so they can sell to the green states. Something like that...

Let me be the Devil's Advocate If one state comes up with regulations within their state, that's OK , right? If other states look at those regulations and think, we should do that too, within "their" own state, they're just adopting the same regulations. No one is forcing these other states to follow California's regulations, they're choosing to do so. Isn't California allowed to regulate within their own state?? Blame the other states for not establishing their own regulations, being lazy. States borrow, reference or are inspired by out of state legislation all the time. Good law makes sense, bad law does not. Voters in each state can decide what's right for them. PA has full vehicle safety inspection along with smog, CA does not.

I'm a free-market guy, legislating behavior is rarely effective. Let the market decide! While not dismissing the pain this will cause, I am totally interested in purchasing an all-electric RV motorhome. Wish list: 250 miles or better range, 1500 watts solar on roof, one large battery supplying electric engine power and coach power both, low-wattage water heater and induction cooktop, energy-efficient mini-split heat pump air-conditioning and heating, on-demand electric water heater. And it must be fast-charge capable, with both NACS (Tesla) and CCS charging ports. I would trade my gas engine RV right now. The idea that the solar panels would add range miles so that driving down the road would be sun-powered would be very exciting. And boondocking would be awesome! Off-grid living with all amenities! Why, in the USA, are there no EV motorhomes right now? There are many options in Europe, Asia, and Australia. Why are there none here? Where is my freedom of choice?

I drive a small diesel truck camper. What the Feds and states should do is outlaw internal combustion generators. Solar generation provides all the power needed for off-grid camping. Low voltage air conditioners are now available too. If large rig campers require power in excess of what they are willing to supply themselves, they need to go plug in at a KOA where they should pay by the foot.
