She was going to become the BIGGEST star world wide! There is no one else like her, nor will there ever be. She was so beautiful inside and out! Some of her star qualities were that she was so loved by everyone, you could not NOT like her, she made her fans and everyone she met feel special, every interviewer and reporter who had the chance to talk with her have said that she was so genuine and kind and so funny, she had the best sense of humor and was always happy and laughing, you just see it on all her videos, always laughing and making others laugh, she had the best laugh. She has stolen hearts around the world even after her death for generations that came after her, we all love her, our kids love her, not to mention her immense talent! She just had an AMAZING and powerful voice and a talent for singing any genre!! That's the thing, she could sing any genre and make it sound like it was her genre specialty, tejano, mariachi, rock, pop, r&b, rap, techno, disco, I mean anything, something that I have not seen any other artist pull off, Let alone a BILINGUAL artist, she would have taken over the world. Period. She was winning all these awards she was nominated for, other artists that were nominated along with her, knew they were doomed for, she was going to take the prize. She was a light that shone too bright, she was a FORCE that was only beginning. She would have taken over the world, she was just so loveable. What a HUGE huge loss. But she will live on in the hearts of her many many fans and for generations to come ❤. Please do yourselves a favor and listen to more of her songs!

So far, I have seen Russian, British, Korean, and Canadian KZbinrs reacting to her songs and concerts. All of them were impressed with her beauty and her talent, all of them loved her live performances, ALL OF THEM WANTED MORE. They feel sad when they find out she was killed a fricking long time ago by a psychopathic nobody, but they embrace what she could give us in her tragically short career. Imagine all the music we lost! At the time this concert took place, Selena was already huge in Latin America, and the next move was taking over the rest of the world. The plan was to make her an international diva, like Mariah Carey, Madonna, and Whitney Houston. The novelty would be her being a Latina. Seeing these reactors (that never knew of Selena before), I am sure she would have succeeded. If she hadn't died, I imagined her having the popularity of Shakira and Jennifer Lopez combined already in the second half of the 1990's. It's not surprising for us to see a Hispanic singer becoming worldwide successful because we already saw Shakira, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, and others succeeding; but ALL OF THEM did it in Selena's absence and it was thanks to her that the record companies discovered that Latin singers could be goldmines (when they used to be largely unappreciated). So all famous Latin singers have something to thank Selena for. Had Selena lived, she probably would have been the most successful of them all. She could even have become a standard for the next generation of female singers.

I remember every single one of the songs. I was there in the 70s for them, LOL: Those were all huge hits, the background music of my teen years. I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor Funkytown - Lipps Inc Last Dance - Donna Summer The Hustle - Van McCoy On the Radio - Donna Summer. I was also living in South Texas when Selena was Queen of Tejano. I literally heard screams of shock and sorrow from my neighbors, left, right, across the lane, when the news came out that she'd been murdered. It hit the Latino community like John Lennon's murder did for Anglos in 1980.

Her Bright Light shines stronger even after 27yrs of her untimely murder. She would've been 51yrs tomorrow, April 16th. Her style, talent, "it" factor, humility and Love for her fans helped her break many barriers and stereotypes. She is of Hispanic descent, but was born and raised in Texas. She learned Spanish phonetically and hit it big in the Tejano market. She is a Legend. #SelenaForever

It's probably already been said here, but Selena would have become the music industry herself, that is how breakout she was in the 90s, and she was JUST getting started. The Tejano (Tex-Mex) genre would still be mainstream, and every other breakout artist after Selena would be pushed back 5-10 years later, probably seeking Selena's tutelege. What a world would it have been if she was among us in 2021
