Have you read the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith? What stood out most to you?

I'm Reformed. For years, didn't know anything about Reformed theology or anything. Do now, and also chosen the 1689 Confession

Great intro to the confession. I come from a dispy background too. Like you pointed out at the beginning (and end) of the video the confession is a standard that is subject to scripture. One thing I love to point out, on this subject, is that the first chapter of the confession itself asserts this by its affirmations about the word.

This provides a solid foundation for being friendly towards Westminster while holding to credobaptist position. As I read more progressive covenantalism, I appreciate the 1689 more and more.

My problem with the scripture thing is how do you know that the scripture used to clarify another in a completely different book of the gospel is the right one? Or is that a agreed upon determination by man? Even the apostles were corrected many times by their interpretations of Jesus teachings.

Do you know if this has a sewn binding or glued?

It's glued.

I dunno, Scots, 3 forms of unity, and Westminster have that proper and reformed view of baptism.
