Briggs & Stratton, 6:1 gear reduction. Abandoned project to running again. 1962 3 hp 81252-9485-46

This was a $20 find. There were some missing parts as well as some modifications that weren't helping. Part of the engine was covered in a thick outdoor paint, like what would be used on a wooden fence. I chose dark gray for an industrial look. The 6:1 gear reduction makes me think of an engine built for work. #engine #old #vintage
