Sendha namak, a type of salt, is formed when salt water from a sea or lake evaporates and leaves behind colorful crystals of sodium chloride. It's also called halite, saindhava lavana, or rock salt. Himalayan pink salt is one of the best known types of rock salt, but several other varieties exist.

Hello Rujuta mam, I always follow ur health tips & always believe that our traditional foods are super foods which has a lot of health benefits. After watching this video on diversity of salts I have a doubt that my husband has high blood pressure. He always used to say put less salt in food bcoz of it's sodium content which can increase high blood pressure. We are using saindha or pink salt on daily basis. Plz guide me whether these natural salts will increase the high blood pressure? How much quantity is required to eat.
