When we hear the term brisket, beef is what comes to mind. But the reality is that every animal has a “brisket” and we cooked up 4 of the most unique ones we could find. Big thank you to Guga for joining me on the video, we had a blast! @GugaFoods

This video makes me want to find some pork brisket. It makes me want to try with venison too. I usually cut the brisket into stew/grind meat on the deer I harvest, field dressing and pack out usually messes the brisket up.

As someone who grew up eating bison it’s kinda comical to me that they’re surprised with it. Both bison and beef are in the bovine family and the main difference between beef and bison is the fat content of the meat. Bison is typically a lot leaner.
@davidmckean955
@davidmckean955 11 ай бұрын
There's more difference than just that. Bison has a way more intense beefy flavor, the filet is as beefy as beef sirloin but just as tender as it is on a cow. Truly an amazing meat and it's little wonder why they almost went extinct.

That cut of pork is part of the picnic and is incredibly cheap, it probably cost less than $20. The Waygu brisket probably cost between $225-$500 depending on exactly what it was (a lot of different beef is referred to as Waygu).

Kosher is more complex and does not explicitly involve blessing. Yes, the person doing the slaughtering says a blessing, but that itself is not what makes it kosher. No blessing is required to make foods kosher.

If you want the extreme end of kosher meat, get a kosher skirt steak. Because of the koshering process, thin cut and location on the beef it’s almost inedible if you don’t soak it. Similar with kosher hanger steak.
