I know this is like almost 3 months after the fact, but I'm just seeing this video, and I wanted to talk about DPS (Damage Per Second) vs. Single-Move Damage Values and how this is related to Real Impact. Using the comparison of KAx2 on a Caina, Cascade does its 1.7k+ damage over the course of 9 seconds (6 seconds if you don't include the startup). RI does its 1k+ damage in 3s (1-2 seconds if you don't include the startup). What's great about this move is that you can act almost immediately after it completes and use an ability to descend (Trick Down or Helm Breaker) and then start up another RI (Cascade has a lengthy recovery that you can only cancel with Quad S). Utilizing the DSD sword formations to catch the enemy as they're falling, you can dish out 3,000+ damage in around the time that it takes Cascade to complete one rep of its 1.7k, and that's not even factoring in the recovery (give or take 1-2s for RI because the enemy has to fall back down). And if we're talking about bosses like Cavaliere then it's extremely fast to DPS them down with RI loops over the Cascade damage. So while the damage value in a vacuum looks lower on Real Impact, the move is way more versatile and contributes a lot more to strong DPS. This is because not only is the burst damage higher (1k over 3s as opposed to 1.7k over 9s), but it can be chained into itself faster. You demonstrate these concepts with setups like triple overture bomb or Ragtime + DT Ex Roulette to show the value of extended windows of damage, and I think that's awesome. But you didn't give this same treatment to RI, and that's simply a disservice to the move. Until Dante dips into mechanics like Faust and SDT, RI is easily his strongest form of damage and (imo) deserves to be in S tier. Also for the person in the comments who asked, fully-stocked DT Royal Release does almost 1.8k on a DMD Caina, so that's pretty strong too.

SDT Dante’s Demolition Move actually kills every normal enemy instantly and puts a huge dent in the bosses health bar

The thing with V’s Laser is that you can keep Shadow and Griffin attack as much as they can while Nightmare melts enemies.

I know I’m mega late to the party on this video, but I think the reason why the Ultimate move of SDT is only 1000 is because it’s an aoe ability. It’s 1000 to all enemies, guaranteed. So if you’re swarmed, then boom you’ve killed most of the enemies. Max rank Faust is massive damage, but you have to charge it for a long time while vulnerable.

Broly2012 hey broski I was wondering if you knew. Does gerbera GPO1 deflect attacks like gerbera does? I’ve read that GPO1 does NOT deflect projectiles, but I’m wondering if it can deflect melee attacks. I can test this out for myself in the void if you don’t know or don’t plan on testing it out. Broly2012 sorry to ask another question, but any idea if GPO1 can deflect projectiles too? I read somewhere that it could not deflect projectiles. If it can indeed deflect projectiles though, then I’m gonna switch to using GPO1 instead of the standard gerbera

Maximum Bet actually deals more damage than Showdown (around 3000) but it require fully charge and enemy that can be drag in a long distance map. So the condition is even worse than Domination lol.

@@Broly2012 My bad, I tested it again. It only deals around 900 damage against a DMD Empusa. Maybe I messed up the difficulty last time.

Some thoughts as I go through your video: 1. I think charged Overture's damage is fair. As far as I remember, it's a guaranteed launcher. Also, as you point out, you can plant multiple Overtures on enemies. So the fact that it does low damage is fine in this case. If you use 2-3 Overtures and a Buster Arm on a stunned boss, it can do incredible damage when combined. It's almost like 40 percent of a boss's lifebar on DMD. So it's balanced. 2. For its very low level of execution, the DT meter drain on Showdown is understandable. Not everyone is going to be able to do that difficult EX Roulette juggle, let alone consistently. If you're looking for easy and guaranteed damage, then DT Showdown is the way to go. 3. I think Red Hot Night needs to be severely nerfed. It does way too much damage for such a trivial cost to your red orbs. I've seen way too many people cheese DMD with Red Hot Night. It's entirely possible for a Dante player to no-damage entire missions by just relying on Dr. Faust combined with The Luce or Demolition from Sin DT (and those two Sin DT moves are also attacks that needs severe nerfs). It makes getting the no-damage score multiplier so trivially easy to get on DMD. At the very least, you should not be getting higher style meter for using these moves. In DMC3, this damage output wouldn't have been a problem, since DMC3 had a time requirement for getting that SS-rank, so you can't just play slow and passive and expect to be rewarded with the game's highest score. 4. Low damage for Sin DT's Judgement is fine considering that it freezes time and does damage on a wide radius surrounding Dante. 5. V is such a poorly designed character. Good luck finding the time to pull off that Domination mega beam from Nightmare without getting swarmed. It's been nearly two months since the game came out and V still hasn't been buffed. His playstyle is still boring and he's not as responsive as an action game character should be.

Yep, Domination is the worst, slow cast time, inconsistent lock on after teleport. You only need Nightmare for the immortal Shadow, Griffon.

1. You're probably better off with overture's battery move since that move is practically a free launch or ground on most enemies anyways 2. Showdown looks cool so why not ;P I usually showdown heavier enemies like queen emphusa and behemoth just because is hard juggling them with others around. 3. Probably doesn't need a nerf just because dmc 5 is one of those games where insta kill exist for you to let off some steam, plus hving a hat be the most powerful weapon isn't that bad if you're not using it 4. Don't forget, during the whole animation for judgement from start to end is invincible, and you take no damage 5. V isn't really poorly designed per say. I don't think the designers ever meant for V to ever be op like Nero or Dante, he is just but 2 days and a month old after all . Anyways, V is deeper than your average hack and slash character, but just stands pale to Nero and dante's really broken skill list.... Btw, I totally still find V fun, even if he IS a total weakling when everyone gets dt on dmd mode

Activatd nero DT, start showdown, cancel dt. Use bringer knuckle to add damage. This way it reduces the damage by 170 but uses way less DT. And for the cost of full DT bar, u can do 2 to 4 showdown which amounts to more than 3500 damage. And also u can use it more often. Also u can use maximum bet, cancel dt, let it charge and release. It does the same damage with or without dt

So yeah red hot is the most over powered move ever. It can nuke bosses at lvl 2 and annihilates all enemies at lvl 3 no matter what the health

Nope, tested and tried. No dmg boost other than dt damage. Dante gets his big dmg from sdt quadruple Ss and Faust I this game

you actually do lower damage on higher difficulty. Real impact is only 750 on DMD. I tried it several times. Unless it depends on the enemy you use it on

Its very much dependant on difficulty! If u were playing on human then enter the void you would gain a 50% damage bonus to all ur attacks. Then it would be at its base on Devil Hunter, then it goes down by 25% on SoS,and then it goes down by another 25% on DmD
