Brooke had done “Pretty Baby,” and the Hollywood machine created a narrative around that that made everyone question Brooke, her mother Teri-everyone but the manufacturers of the “racy” narrative: Hollywood and their media partners. People need to give Teri and Brooke credit, because amid a rocket-fueled career where she could have banked further on the momentum, Brooke matriculated and graduated from Princeton, a move today’s ambitious young stars should consider doing should their first career choice not sustain itself. It surely served Brooke well throughout her life. Hats off to Brooke and Teri! Brooke remains an inspiration to this day, and I couldn’t love her more!
