Thank you very much for this video. I had taken my machine apart to clean it and oil parts. Once back together I kept getting E1 error. I knew the problem had to be inside the machine. I removed the case and inspected my lift bar, which seemed to be working without sticking. It must’ve been the way that I reassembled the case because all is working perfectly now. Thank you again!

I am a happy sewer today. Thank you. I have had my Brother CE-5000PRW Project Runaway for over 4 years and love it. It stopped working before the pandemic and today I decided to give it a "last chance" fix before trying to get a new one. After using the WD-40 and moving it back and forth, I tried it... YES! It works. I left everything the same, shut it off, closed it up... Started it up... Job COMPLETE! THANKS Again!!!

Oh I wish you were in Florida! I have two Brothers, one manual and one a Project Runway, that have been disasters. Very frustrating, because I had volunteered to do some production sewing of toys for charity for Christmas, and I was the only one who failed to submit anything. Same problem with both machines so it has to be me, upper thread breaking constantly. I've re-threaded and made adjustments until I'm ready to get my 1956 White Rotary serviced and put these two Brothers in a closet. You are amazing with your knowledge and ability to explain things, I do wish you were local! Best wishes, and hope to see more of these videos from you. You really know machines.

Thank you! It resolved my issue. Recommend to take pictures and mark all the screws locations before taking it apart. The part (as shown on the video) is supposed to be loose when flip the (up and down) lever up. Wiggling it could not make it loose in my case. There is a spring at the center of the part, sprayed WD-40 there then it worked.
