To think all those years of suffering with glasses of water to choke down what you make a treat. You Are Magic!!!

For the 1st time in my 40+ year old life, I’m enjoying Brussels sprouts!!! Thank you!🙏🏼 The addition of garlic was a very nice touch.

Thank you, Ms. Lidia, for all the years of cooking excellence. Because of you, I can cook (smile!). I really appreciate how you actually make the recipes all the way through, in real time, on your shows. Nobody does Italian better. Be blessed.

For years, I couldn't eat Brussels sprouts, couldn't swallow them, until I had them oven roasted. This is a great recipe to add to my menu! It is amazing how this has become something I can and like to eat.

I steam the brussel sprouts. They are wonderful. A little butter to toss, salt and pepper. Grand.👵🌹

Quicker Prep Time & Same Results. Cut the bottom off. Quarter them. Then brush the leaves back with your thumb. They will look like 1/4 of an open rose. You can't overcook them. Try adding some fried up bacon & or Bread Crumbs & or Grated Cheese & Lemon Juice, after Cooking. If you use bacon, use the fat & olive oil with garlic to cook up the sprouts.

I quarter the sprouts and often caramelize them with garlic and onions. I use lard and/or butter when trying to caramelize vegetables, since olive oil breaks down under sustained heat to form unhealthy compounds. Afterwards, before serving, I'll drizzle some olive oil and a bit of fresh lemon juice over them. You can use the same cooking technique for cabbage.

I could never cook dressed like that, and I think its so cozy and comforting to see a cook with the hair pulled back, (in case is long) and a apron.

Many years ago. Julia Child said to make an X on the core at the bottom of each sprout. I've been doing so for years and inside leaves are cooked

these done with a half lemon squeezed in after the carmelization and served with pasta and a cream sauce would be tasty.

Yes, Fresh Lemon Juice. That is the Greek way of cooking the same dish!. Quicker Prep Time & Same Results. Cut the bottom off. Quarter them. Then brush the leaves back with your thumb.
