Күн бұрын

In the final episode of this series of the Brute Showdown, Bodybuilder Lawrence Ballenger, Powerlifter Steve Gentili, CrossFit Games Athlete Jacob Heppner, and Olympic Weightlifter Luis Javier Mosquera complete the last five events - and someone leaves with a big badge of respect.
In this episode, the competitors complete these events:
6. Football Combine
7. Soccer Ball Dribble
8. Football Throw
9. Batting Cage/Baseball Throw
10. Knockout (Basketball)
Someone makes a huge comeback and takes home the glory. Watch the whole episode to find out.
If you missed episode three, you can watch it here.

@@jacksonfev man you're just being hella cynical at this comment. Being nice and friendly aren't the only strengths in life. Every culture has an equal number of strengths and weaknesses. I think being gracious and humble in certain situations or looking on the bright side of things more often might be a norm in some cultures while being more guarded and competitive is a norm in other cultures. One is great because it is very warm and fuzzy, but can turn reckless or dangerous in some situations. The other is great because it keeps up healthy boundaries, protecting you and yours, but it can make you depressed or hard to get close to in some situations. I am a gringa who married into a Honduran family and the cultures are different but balance each other well. My husband is always reminding me that our life is beautiful, that even our enemies are still people, and that life is to be enjoyed. He has an amazing light that shines from his soul and I view my life with more gratitude than I did before we met. I am always reminding him to not trust people immediately and that life can be enjoyed in moderation so we protect our health and our finances. I have kept us safe and helped him navigate the US's often dystopian economy and legal system. We can acknowledge cultural differences and praise cultural characteristics without implying that other cultures are overall inferior.

Exactly, when you can Squat like 800lbs, you can likely jump crazy high. I was impressed by the sprint, but it also makes sense, he's like the Juggernaut, at that size, once you get momentum, nothing could stand in your way. I actually expected the Bodybuilder to win that, but he doesn't look like he knows how to run effectively for his size. My favorite part of the whole thing was when the Olympic Lifter said that if the Bodybuilder knew the clean technique, he'd have won that event.

I agree 100%, they are great at their respective competition/sport. I just said they aren't good at traditional sports as we know, outside of Luis being pretty decent with eye-foot coordination. The art of throwing a ball efficiently shows great kinetic timing, as well as kicking one. Catching a ball shows that you have hand-eye coordination. They are good at what they do specifically, but a huge part of athleticism has to do with being able to put together a good kinetic chain outside of a power clean. It has a lot to do with being able to do tasks outside of that. Not bashing anyone, I think they are all tremendously great athletes, but they are not athletic in the sense that they are coordinated.

yeah and they could do a video a day, save on editing, get more views more often, make a better product, and not have people forget the series exists because they take so long to edit the videos into steaming piles of shit. Probably done in the same period of time too. Just genuinely some of the most retarded decision making ive ever seen. Litterally went OUT OF THEIR WAY to WORK to make something cool as uncool as possible

Black coach guy at the beginning was "booming" all the time. "Go right here and boom", "Cross the line and boom", "jump and boom". Steve totally surprised everyone such a beast. Luis like someone stated below is just a pure soul. Cheers to Alan García on the background. Awesome series!

Absolutely great series. Props to Steve for showing everyone that big guys can move too. This needs to be done again. Bring superstars from the NHL, NFL, MLB, NBA, and MLS. McDavid from the NHL, Trout from the MLB, and you can pick the rest because I don’t know anything about the other sports to be able to pick superstars from them.

Dude big man Steve is by far the best athlete here! That man is a beast. A person that size that can actually run a 4.6 40, and still knows how to throw a baseball and football properly, knows how to swing a bat, and has the 3 point finesse of a point guard?! He made everyone else look like they were trying out for the first time in their lives 😩🤣

Fantastic video series. I actually found several of the outcomes totally unpredictable, Who'd think that the smallest guy could pickup the heaviest weight in any discipline? Who thought that the power-lifter could move as fast as he did? Who thought that a bodybuilder could even compete? I actually expected the cross fit guy to walk away with all of the agility competitions, but it just wasn't so. Great video! Of course we all secretly want to look like the bodybuilder, lol.

And level. I mean they did use someone who deadlifts over 350 kg for their powerlifter thats very high level as far as I know. Bronze medal Olympic weightlifting is as well of course. Maybe they needed a slightly better crossfitter and bodybuilder by comparison. But it was close and a great series. We should try and make the competition even more exciting and legit indeed.

@@zteaxon7787 Crossfiter was #7 in 2016 and I think the better the bodybuilder the worse he would perform. Imagine someone like Phil or Ramy....they would fail miserably. They should try and get people of similiar weight class. They legit used a super heavy weight powerlifter and a lightweight weightlifter......

What they really should do is pit world champions or State, national or even regional champions against each other. There will always be differences due to a sport's popularity and so many other variables but then at least you have more reference perhaps. Ah there is no perfect way to do this but if they can get some cool challenges and people this can be a very enjoyable series. Maybe we'll find some of the most rounded athletes this way. If they could next use a swimmer I'm very interested in seeing how a good swimmer atacks against other Olympic or just athletes.

I really liked the deadlift competition , but i honestly think it was a mistake to choose that exercise. The perfect exercise in this competitiom i think its the squat , because thats middle ground. Those four athletes should squat on a daily basis. I really hope that a squat showdown is made

Then maybe archer vs army sniper vs hunter vs police. Then kickbox vs Thai box vs taekwondo vs jujitsu. Then a knowledge match between liberal, communist, conservative and national socialist. Then race a truck driver, pizza courier, bike courier and mailman. Then do a haggling match between a regular Jewish person (just for the kek) , a wall street broker, a pawn shop owner and a livestock auctioneer.
