I'm so baffled why she thinks kids need to know ANY of that. We've all been around kids who asked questions and had to think how to answer them honestly without telling them stuff they don't need to know yet. I feel like this person's whole personality is their labels and they can't not put the world on blast about it.

I would have been enraged to hear a teacher talk to my kids the way some of these tik tok idjits are spouting. Hell I had the worry of my kids being indoctrinated into social morais that paint me as a hell bound deviant which is why I chose to homeschool my kids...I cannot imagine them being taught some of these lessons in a public school. 100% agree I am a teacher I work with kids 2-5/6 and never once have I mentioned my relationship with my husband. I just think it’s weird and not really a concept that the young kids can fully grasp. Why would I be talking about my personal life during work? My students have seen my wedding rings and when they ask about them I just ask oh do you like how they look? They’re really shiny and pretty right? And they answer yea and then run away and play, I don’t need to go into detail about my marriage.

I’m a teacher, the point of teaching is that its not about you. My students don’t know anything about me other than the fact that I have a cat. It might be harsh to say but kids don’t care about you, they’re very egotistical and that’s developmentally appropriate and normal. I am a retired teacher. Going back only a few years, teachers were all like me. Private subjects were not discussed with kids, and they would rarely ask, because they really are not that interested. The kids are, or should be, the focus, so there is no reason for teachers to talk about themselves. Only a self-obsessed person would want to do that. Plus, if you want to cover the whole curriculum, there isn't time to talk about genders or types of sexual attraction, and all this other garbage, and it is just not appropriate. It saddens and angers me.

We spoke to them all in age appropriate ways about polyamory and NEVER did that include ANYTHING about sex. Their sex education was focused on keeping them safe, teaching them about taking care of their bodies and emotional health. They knew we were not cheating on each other because they aren't brain dead idiots...they are smart intelligent humans. I don't remember my children ever asking if we were cheating but if they had we already had an answer we had agreed on: "No." There is no other explanation needed. When I was 8, I had a “sexual” fantasy. It involved singing love songs to the girl I had a crush on. That’s as far as my understanding of physical sexuality went at that age. Hate and bigotry is a learned behavior not innate plenty of studies confirm that but research also says get to those kids preteen age once they hit adolescence the idea will become ingrained and therefor hard but not impossible to change. @@WindTurbineSyndrome you’re right, but you also have to actively teach kids to things that are different than what they are used. People are naturally tribal animals. You’re also right about trying to intervene in a kid’s bigoted views early, rather than later. You also don’t want to shame a child innocently pointing out something which is considered wrong in polite company. I don’t have children, so I’m just brainstorming. Buck, this is the first time I’ve seen your channel. Completely agree. Youngsters don’t need to know any of this stuff. It sucks that this has become a norm in classrooms. As a man who’s dated transwomen, it sucks to see certain platforms littered with hate towards the lgbtq community bc it’s not all of us, it’s a select group ruining our reputation. Tori is an absolute gem of a human being, perfect example of someone who experienced gender dysphoria, did something about it, and handled it without having to involve everyone and their mothers. Much love to the both of you ❤

Us true allies of the community know it is not everyone. I actually hate that this is happening for my friends who simply want to live life. A lot of them are even pulling away from associating with the lgbt community altogether 🫠 what’s happening now is actually a disgrace in my eyes for those who fought for and supported the lgbt community for decades.

Teachers are supposed to teach basic skills and material such as math, science, art, etc. They aren't supposed to teach certain "ways of life". That's the job of a parent. That would be no different than teaching kids how to vote, what religion to believe, etc.

Unchecked “Traditional Values” would have grown men legally marrying underage girls with parental consent. An unregulated capitalist society would gladly rob the youth of a childhood and throw into a factory/mine/fast food drive thru if it thought it would increase profits. All systems and ideologies have to be constantly monitored. Let’s have some nuance so we don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. Because plenty of “traditional, conservative, family men” have been caught up in scandals involving children.

Omg, Tori, your HAIR. It's gorgeous! I'm here for it. Okay, so, I've said this on a prior video but it totally blows my mind that it's suddenly considered normal for teachers to discuss their sexuality, partners and private lives with their students. When I was young, I think first grade, I saw my teacher at the mall one weekend. She was with her husband and her children and I was BLOWN AWAY that she had a life outside of school, lol. Then, later in high school, I had two gay teachers. No one talked about it. No one cared! They literally just lived their lives and didn't discuss their personal, private lives with us. The only time it was ever even mentioned was one of my teachers, her wife was having major surgery and she told us she'd be out for a week. We were all just like, "oh man, surgery can be tough. We all hope she gets well ASAP and can't wait for you to be back". That's the most personal I ever had a teacher be. I can't imagine walking into biology class on the first day and having the teacher be like, "okay, here's my flags that represent my sexuality. Let's discuss that!".
